Recently, it was revealed that Sony has canceled two unannounced live-service games. One of these projects was being developed by Bend Studio, known for Days Gone. John Garvin, the former co-director of this game, expressed his support for the studio on his X page.
He also stated that in such situations, developers simply have no choice.
Rumor has it that Bend Studio's canceled project could have been an online game partially related to the Syphon Filter series. Screenshots even leaked online earlier.
As for the second canceled project, it was a live-service game set in the God of War universe, which Bluepoint Games (creators of the Demon's Souls and Shadow of the Colossus remakes) had been working on for about two years.
