«I was waiting for this question» — Neil Druckmann Responds to Whether He's Planning The Last of Us: Part 3

Recently, Naughty Dog's president Neil Druckmann, in an interview with Variety, addressed the question of whether there are plans for developing the adventure game The Last of Us: Part 3. It's worth noting that the second part was released almost five years ago.
I was waiting for this question. I guess the only thing I would say is don’t bet on there being more of Last of Us. This could be it.
Judging by Neil Druckmann's words, it's clear that The Last of Us: Part 3 is not something to expect anytime soon. However, the studio might reconsider its plans and revisit the idea of continuing the franchise in the future.
Previously, there was development on a multiplayer game, The Last of Us Online, but it was eventually canceled in favor of Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
By the way, the premiere of the second season of the series The Last of Us is expected on April 14, featuring Abby from the second part of the game series.
