Assassin's Creed: Shadows Devs Reveal Graphics Modes for PlayStation and Xbox

Following the release of Assassin’s Creed: Shadows’ system requirements, details on its console performance have surfaced. The standard PS5 version will offer three graphical modes, while PS5 Pro users will benefit from enhanced ray tracing.
On Xbox Series X, the game will also support three modes, while Xbox Series S players will have a single option—dynamic 1620p at 30 FPS.
PlayStation 5:
- Performance Mode – Dynamic 4K, 60 FPS, selective ray tracing (global illumination in the Hideout only);
- Quality Mode – Dynamic 4K, 30 FPS, standard ray tracing (global illumination across all locations);
- Balanced Mode (requires HDMI 2.1 display) – Dynamic 4K, 40 FPS, standard ray tracing.
PlayStation 5 Pro:
- Performance Mode – Dynamic 4K, 60 FPS, standard ray tracing;
- Quality Mode – Dynamic 4K, 30 FPS, enhanced ray tracing (global illumination and reflections across all locations);
- Balanced Mode (requires HDMI 2.1 display) – Dynamic 4K, 40 FPS, enhanced ray tracing.
Assassin’s Creed: Shadows launches on March 20. Recently, the developers released a 20-minute gameplay showcase comparing Naoe and Yasuke in action.
