Insider: Respawn Canceled Another Game, But It's Not the Next Titanfall

A rumor has swept the web about the cancellation of one of the projects Respawn Entertainment was working on. At first, there were reports that it could have been a Titanfall game, but a reputable insider denied the statement.
Information about the closure of the unannounced game appeared on the LinkedIn page of Emily Evans, a former assistant and production coordinator at Respawn. According to her message, the studio was working on a first-person shooter. Players were worried that it was a new Titanfall, but journalist and insider Jeff Grubb reassured fans:
This wasn't a Titanfall game. It was that FPS Star Wars team that had shifted to something else. I'll talk more about this on Game Mess Decides tonight on https://t.co/NXpVXQoGqk at 9 pm Eastern https://t.co/uB8Jnx6LpE

Apparently, we are talking about the team of the Star Wars shooter about the Mandalorian, which was cancelled in 2024, the details of which were told by Tom Henderson. Probably, for some time the developers tried to implement ideas for a new project, after which it was also closed.
As for the game in the Titanfall universe, there is little information about it. Rumors about the development appeared in 2024 — apparently, the process is at an early stage. According to insiders, this is not Titanfall 3.
Earlier it became known about the cancellation of the sequel to Batman: Arkham Knight — Warner Bros. closed the project in favor of another game.
