New Marauder and Speed-Boosting Skullcrusher: More Doom: The Dark Ages Details

There are only two months left until the release of Doom: The Dark Ages, and in honor of this, the developers shared new details. This time, id Software revealed the features of the local arsenal and talked about a mini-boss in the spirit of the Marauder from Eternal.
In an interview with PC Gamer, game director Hugo Martin and producer Marty Stratton touched on the appearance of a new enemy in Doom: The Dark Ages, which will be a real test for players.
We take everything that you've been doing in the game up to that point. It's like it's exam time, everything else is a quiz. When you get to the boss, it's the final exam.
The Agadon Hunter will be a kind of "new Marauder" with combo attacks that will have to be parried with a saw shield in the spirit of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. The main difference from its predecessor is that the fight with the Hunter will be more intuitive. To defeat him, you will simply need to remember all your previous experience from Doom: The Dark Ages and use it to the fullest.
The updated arsenal will also be a feature of Doom: The Dark Ages. Of the usual, only the shotgun remains, the player will have at his disposal mainly exotic weapons. The Skullcrusher stands out the most — a machine gun that shoots skull fragments, which will increase the speed of movement around the arena as you shoot.
You'll get a speed boost, and the rate of fire will increase. So it goes from this kind of heavy, slow-moving chain gun to like, you just zip it around the arena. So it gives you an advantage with movement, but you need it because it's not a very long range.
Another notable example of the Doom: The Dark Ages arsenal is the Railspike, a kind of crossbow that pins enemies to walls with railroad spikes.
Doom: The Dark Ages will be released on May 15 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Earlier, id Software revealed gameplay details of the new shooter. The Doom Slayer will be able to throw a Shield Saw, and the levels in the game will be the largest in the series.
