Online Showcase Reveals FPS Changes in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 After New Patch 1.3 Compared to Versions 1.0.0 and 1.2

Recently, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl received a major patch, version 1.3, which introduced over 1200 fixes to the game. A video comparing different versions of the project has already surfaced online.
The video demonstrates the performance differences in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl across versions 1.0.0, 1.2, and 1.3. Notably, according to the video's creator, the frame rate slightly decreased after the update compared to version 1.2 under certain graphic settings.
Here are the test results:
- Resolution 1440p, epic settings, DLSS (quality) — average frame rate of 47 FPS, 4% lower than version 1.2;
- Resolution 1440p, medium settings, DLSS (quality) — average frame rate of 65 FPS, 3% lower than version 1.2;
- Resolution 1440p, low settings, DLSS (performance) — average frame rate of 82 FPS. Overall performance remained nearly unchanged compared to version 1.2.
The game was tested on a PC with the following specs: AMD Ryzen 7600 processor, 32 GB DDR5 6000 MHz RAM, and NVIDIA RTX 3070 FE graphics card.
As a reminder, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl was released in November 2024 on PC and Xbox Series X/S. On Steam, the game holds 82% positive reviews.
