The First Berserker: Khazan Already Receives Initial Reviews on Steam and Metacritic

Although The First Berserker: Khazan is set to release on March 27, some gamers have already had the chance to play it. The game became available to all Deluxe Edition owners, which is sold on Steam for $70.
The game is also available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. It has already received initial gamer reviews and press ratings. On Steam, the rating stands at 94% at the time of writing. On Metacritic, the project scored 80 points.

The First Berserker: Khazan is greatness from nothingness personified. Neople has done what so many have tried to do in the past. If TFB Khazan is not on your map, then, well, you need a new map. From brutal yet manageable combat to fantastic level and monster designs, Khazan aims high and hits every target it finds.
I suspect that most fans of the Soulslike genre will have a great time with The First Berserker: Khazan — especially if their primary focus is on the gameplay. It has some thoughtful approaches to easing frustration while maintaining that rewarding, Soulsian challenge. The First Berserker: Khazan may not be on the level of a Bloodborne or a Sekiro, but in the midst of combat, it can feel shockingly close.
Ultimately, The First Berserker: Khazan is a good time. Its aesthetic differentiates it from the plethora of ARPG Souls-likes we've become used to, and its brilliant boss fights are engaging enough to entice you through levels that start to feel boring around the mid-way point of the game. But its lacklustre story and bloated, inconsistent mechanics hinder what could have been a better game if it were more refined.
The First Berserker: Khazan is described as a ruthless action RPG in the style of the Souls series. The main character is Kazan, a great general of the Pelos Empire. Throughout the game, the character must hunt down all those who led him to his demise. A demo version is available.
