CD Projekt Reveals New Sales Data for The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077

In its latest financial report, CD Projekt shared updates not only on its upcoming games but also some intriguing sales statistics for The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077.
One slide highlights the shift from physical to digital sales of The Witcher 3. In 2015, boxed copies accounted for half of the game’s revenue, but their popularity steadily declined over time.
Another slide breaks down sales by platform. Interestingly, the Nintendo Switch version of The Witcher 3 often outsold its Xbox counterpart.
The next two slides present similar data for Cyberpunk 2077 and its expansion Phantom Liberty. The numbers tell a different story here—digital sales have nearly wiped out physical copies, with PC sales significantly outperforming consoles.
Earlier, CD Projekt confirmed that The Witcher 4 won’t launch until after 2026. The game is expected to arrive not only on current platforms but also on next-gen consoles.
