Helldivers 2 Stopped Running on Some PCs Due to Increased System Requirements (Updated)

PC players have started complaining en masse to the developers of Helldivers 2 about problems with launching the game. It turns out that a recent update has tightened the requirements for processors, which has caught many by surprise. Update: According to Eurogamer, Arrowhead is already working on a fix for the AVX2 issue — it's unclear when the fix will be released.
The official Discord server of the multiplayer shooter has already been flooded with messages from angry gamers. It turned out that AVX2 support is now required to launch the game, although the minimum system requirements on Steam have not changed. Since not all processors over 13 years old support the technology, some players have “dropped out”.
In response to complaints, Helldivers 2 moderators advised updating the PC system or rolling back AMD and NVIDIA drivers. Arrowhead itself has not yet commented on the situation.
Earlier, Helldivers 2 returned to sale in some countries a year later after the scandal around the PlayStation Network. Let us remind you that the game is available on PC and PlayStation 5.
