Remakes of the first two Max Payne games will go into production this year
According to Remedy's financial report, full production of the Max Payne 1 and 2 remakes will begin this year. The studio also spoke about the status of its other projects.
Production on the remakes of both games is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2024. In the report, Remedy also announced that it has returned all rights to the Control franchise and is developing Control 2. Full production on the sequel will begin around the second quarter of this year.
Condor, the multiplayer spin-off of Control, has reached the final stage of development.
Thanks to the report, the sales results of Alan Wake 2 became known — players purchased about 1.3 million copies. According to Remedy, a significant part of the game's production costs has already paid off. Now DLC is being prepared for Alan Wake 2, which will continue the plot.
