June 10, 2024, 01:13 PM
Konami has shared details of the remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. The game will feature advanced facial animation, remove the top view, and the main character will still have scars from his injuries.
What do the developers of the remake promise to players:
- All original characters, story and soundtracks will return, gameplay will remain the same;
- The game will feature detailed graphics and advanced facial animation of the characters;
- The remake will feature an improved damage system: all the hero's injuries will be displayed and changed in real time, leaving scars until the end of the game;
- Management will be made «intuitive»;
- Unlike the original with a top-down view, the remake will have a familiar third-person view.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will be the first major game in the franchise since 2018. The remake is being developed by Konami's internal studio along with the Singaporean company Virtuos. The project is being developed on the Unreal Engine 5 for the PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms. There is no release date yet.
Yesterday, after the Xbox presentation, Phil Spencer shared some news about the projects and commented on the closure of two Microsoft studios.
