Phil Spencer gave an interview to IGN journalists right after the Xbox presentation. The top manager discussed the newly announced games and commented on the closed studios.
- On the decision to release Doom: The Dark Ages on PS5: «Doom is definitely one of those franchises that has a history of so many platforms. It's a franchise that I think everyone deserves to play»;
- On the closure of Tango Gameworks, Arkane Austin, and other studios: «The closure of any team is hard... Now is the time to focus on the team and the individuals, because it's obviously very hard for them. I've said over and over again that I have to make hard decisions to run a sustainable business»;
- Spencer was also asked if he had seen The Elder Scrolls 6: «I will refrain from comment»;
- Regarding a portable console: «I don't want to say anything, but the future for us in hardware is pretty awesome. Today was about the games, but we will have a time to come out and talk more about platform.»
