Genshin Impact: Secret Tianqiu Valley Puzzle Guide
«Traces in Tianqiu Valley» is one of the quests in Genshin Impact. As part of the task, you need to pass three trials. How to do this is detailed in our guide.
Tianqiu Valley itself is not very noticeable on the map. It is located in the southwest in the Liyue region. To start the quest, you need to read an ancient tablet that is almost in the very center of the valley. It will be easier to find it if you highlight active objects.
In front of you is an altar with three triangular indentations and three towers. Each of them represents a separate trial.
Southern Tower
Here, you will face a battle. On the first floor, you need to defeat four enemies within forty seconds, and on the second and third floors, you are given sixty seconds to defeat five enemies each. The overall difficulty may only be due to a weak team of heroes or poor balance of their abilities. Consider carefully who to take into this tower before the time race begins. By winning this trial, you will receive a glowing pyramid — one of the three keys.
Western Tower
To the west is a spatial puzzle. You will have to climb to the very top without any stairs. It's worth taking someone with the Geo element to create additional platforms — this will greatly simplify the task. The Geo element can also be chosen for the main character. To do this, interact with the Statue of the Seven in Liyue and select the corresponding option. If you have Keqing in your team, you can use her abilities to pass the trial. Just throw daggers at the right places and teleport to them. You will be limited to one minute, so you will likely need several attempts to find the optimal route.
Eastern Tower
This is the most challenging task of the quest. You need to solve several puzzles with burning torches. You must have a character with fire abilities and a bow (the torches on the third floor are on the walls). The difficulty is that each floor will have different puzzle-solving rules.
First, you will see a pyramid drawn on the floor. In each of its corners stands a large torch, and next to them are smaller torches. Light one of the large torches. They will all light up immediately. After that, light one of the small ones. Just like with the large ones — they will all light up. Thus, you need to light only two torches — a large one and a small one. The rest will light up on their own.
On the second floor, there will be a pentagram on the floor. Here, each lit torch simultaneously activates two others, connected to it by straight lines diagonally. But if any of the connected torches is already lit — it will go out. Achieve that only one torch is lit (it doesn't matter which one). Then, light the torch that stands on the right diagonal from the burning one. The first will go out, while the second, on the contrary, will be activated. Now light the torch that stands on the left diagonal from the first, originally lit one. As a result, all will light up.
In the last part of the puzzle, there are two torches on each wall of the room. The left one lights the torches on the opposite wall, while the right one extinguishes those same torches. It doesn't matter which wall you start with. First light one right, then the left. Then, on the wall located perpendicularly, do the same. The third stage is significantly easier than the second, the main thing is to understand the principle. After this, you will be able to take the last glowing pyramid.
***
Return to the altar. As soon as you activate all three keys, treasure thieves will appear. After a brief fight, you will be able to take your well-deserved reward, and the quest will be completed. In addition to three chests, you will receive 450 adventure points, 60 primogems, and 30,000 Mora.
