How to Find All Caches in Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

In Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, there are plenty of side activities: from additional quests to challenges and caches. The latter are much harder to discover than it might seem at first glance. This guide describes how to find all the caches in the game.

Note: If you plan to search for the caches on your own, there are a few important things you need to know. As you progress through the game, inspecting chests and corpses, you will find images with hints about the location of a particular cache. However, it's not necessarily the case that the treasure is in a nearby area. You might reach the required location later in the story and completely forget about the existence of the picture in your inventory.

This is the first cache you can find in the game. However, it's not that simple — you will have to follow several key points before you finally discover the reward. You can start this side activity in the hunters' camp by talking to the merchant in Sinsear Parrish's shop and purchasing a note.

The poem doesn't give much away, but if you return to the very first fast travel point and walk along the beach, Antea will say that the cache must be somewhere nearby. Indeed, the required stone lies right on the shore.

But the mysteries don't end there. The main character will dig up another strange note. You can find the treasure hinted at on your way to Fort Jericho. Stop in front of a huge waterfall and approach the water. A stone will be lying nearby.

Another note is hidden in a small cave, in an intermediate location to the southwest of the Harrows settlement.

The last treasure is buried near the «Ruined Bridge» fast travel point, which you will reach in the story after the first encounter with the witch on her island. A ghost nest, which you might have already destroyed, will serve as a landmark.

As a reward, you will receive slightly more than two thousand coins, as well as three void shards.

The picture depicting this location can be found while dealing with the «Hammer and Tongs» case. It will be in a chest, located in a small cave. You will need to break some wooden planks first.

On the map, you can see the hunters' camp, as well as the marked spot. It is located by the river, right behind your base (fast travel point). If you exit the building, turn right and go down. Approach the water and find the stone.

The map can be found while completing the story quest «The Beast“. You will need to explore several locations until you reach the boss arena. After the shelter ”Kate's Bivouac», follow through the bridge (you need to use Antea's jump) and reach a cabin with a locked chest inside (the key is on a corpse on the bridge).

Now go around the house on the left side and run to the river. Here you can tie a rope and descend. Right below you will be the entrance to a small cave with a chest where the map is located.

If you are following the story, you won't be able to find the cache right now. Return to the search later. You will need to visit an intermediate location down the river and find a large building next to the water body. The first time you can get here is by heading southeast from the Harrows settlement.

The treasure is buried between the house and the dock on the shore. You will receive about a thousand gold and forty units of pyrite.

If you destroy the spirit talisman, you will be able to break through and inspect a regular chest. By going up into the house, you will find Iris Constance's locked chest. It is located nearby, but first, you need to clear the fog on the lower level of the map.

To do this, exit the house and run towards the cart in front of you. Continue following to the right, then enter the fog. Run forward to the shore (if you arrive at the location in the later stages of the game, a case about arrival will automatically start). Climb over the fallen tree and run to the dead end, then cross the small island to the opposite shore. You will see the entrance to a cave — ignore it and walk along the ledge to the left. Here you will find a corpse with the key.

As a reward for this, you will additionally receive the «Trembling Veil» musket.

You will receive the image with this treasure later in the story, when you reach the devastated fort in the swamps. As soon as you find yourself in front of the gates of the structure, do not rush to clear the fog and run inside. Instead, examine the small cave located near the entrance to the location. Here you can also find the cursed Sentry's chest. Inspect the bag to the right of it and take the images.

Do not linger at this location searching for the cache — it is not here. It will become available later in the story, when you go to explore Fort Jericho.

On the hill, you will see a similar building, as well as a flag waving next to it. Examine the area under the pole and take the reward.

In addition to the sentry figurine, Red will receive several void shards.

You can find the picture in the same cave as the previous clue. Return to the hunters' camp and run across two bridges along the trail to the northeast. As soon as you reach the large forest location, move a bit forward and turn the camera to the right. Here is a small waterfall, just like in the picture.

Just like the previous time, in addition to the figurine for opening the cursed chest, you will receive several elite gems.

You will find this cache after locating the treasure «The Sentry's Cache on the Bridge». Return to the Harrows settlement and use the elevator to descend to the dock (it becomes available after completing the «Inkwell» story quest). Once descended, to your right, you will see a climb up the rock. Climb here and go a little forward. Here is a dead end, but right in front of you will be a rock under which the treasure is hidden.

In the ruined fort, you will also receive another image of the cache. It is located in a small chest right next to the fast travel point «Old Swamp Camp“.

Now use fast travel to the refuge ”Ruined Bridge» and run towards the fort. Here you need to use Antei's leap over the chasm. After dealing with the enemies, turn the camera to the left and find the descent.

Go a little to the right until you reach a dead end and dig up the treasure. You will find just over a thousand witch stones.

This can be discovered at an abandoned sawmill in the northwestern part of the global map. You will get here later in the story when you unlock additional abilities for Antei.

We are interested in the location with several locked buildings and a blocked mine. There is also a hanged corpse here — shoot the rope to pick up the map.

However, you cannot go treasure hunting right now, as you must first complete the main tasks in the Harrows and Fort Jericho regions. Only after this, in the Hunter's Camp, the case of the «Small Fortune“ will become available, during which you can cross the chasm and reach the mines.

You need to get to the mine entrance, move the minecart, and break the wooden barriers. This will grant access to the ivy — get rid of it. The first root is located to the left of the main point, the second on the wall to the right of it, and the third can be found if you climb up the minecart to the ledge and look at the opposite side (hidden behind boxes).

This will grant access to the second minecart. Pull it back, climb up, and deal with the monsters. Here you can also open a magic chest. Descend to the cliff and find the stone under which the treasure is buried.

You can purchase the map from a merchant in the Harrows settlement. Note that the shop may be temporarily unavailable until you complete a few story quests (Ismail won't be there, and Phoebe is in her locked house). The map costs 375 coins.

If you already have the map, you can go treasure hunting. For this, open the fast travel point ”Old House on the Hills», located northwest of the town, and inspect the area between two rocks. The cache will be waiting for you right in front of the cliff.

You can obtain the map image in the Harrows location. Here, the case «Unshackle the Heart» will also become available if you have completed the main quest «Inkwell.» It is within this quest that you will gain access to the map. You need to follow the story until you find yourself in a locked barn. Use the key obtained from the merchant, search the building, and find the map.

As shown in the image, head to the nearby cemetery. You have already been here while completing story quests. Inspect the graves on the right side and find the stone. This way, you will obtain the second map.

Now you need to explore the neighboring location. The cache will be waiting under a tree.

To find the map, head east from the Fort Jericho settlement and find a large two-story building. To get inside, shoot the plank on the second floor blocking the door with a musket. Inspect the only chest here, which contains the image.

You can find the cache later when you explore the lower part of the map. From the previous location, head south and find a small structure by the cliff. Right in front of it lies a stone, under which the treasure is buried.

To obtain the next map with the cache location, you must first complete the case of presence «Through the Dim Glass» and gain access to the mansion. Climb the stairs to the second floor and turn right. Open the door to the bedroom and inspect the chest inside, which will contain the map.

To find the cache, return back towards the settlement and from there head southwest, to a dead-end location. The required stone awaits you by a tree next to a ruined building.

Note: In the same mansion, you can solve a small puzzle with paintings. In one of the rooms, pick up a note about the paintings. To solve it, you need to straighten all the crookedly hanging images.

To get the map, make your way to the Fort Jericho settlement. Go to the southern part of the town and stop at the fence. In front of you will be a tall building that you can climb onto via a ledge on the left. On the top level of the building, you will find a single chest containing a note with the cache location.

To find the cache, head to the neighboring area, south of the settlement. By one of the graves, where candles are burning, stands a stone.
