In the settlement in LEGO Fortnite, you can build a garden with plants and a farm to gain new opportunities. Here's everything you need to know about how to plant seeds in the game.
Around your settlement, many useful plants grow, but you can also grow your own without leaving the village. Having plants at the base is useful because it's an easy way to stock up on food when it's most needed.
Placing a chest next to where the plants grow provides a place to store food so all players can share it if needed. It's better to keep a lot of seeds in the garden plot because then you can quickly collect them on the go and won't have to spend hours replacing seeds.
First, you need to craft a shovel to dig up the soil. To build a workbench, you only need three logs and five units of granite.
Next, you need a sawmill, which requires five units of wood and 15 units of granite. Now it's time to make a shovel. For this, you need three wooden sticks and one plank.
Take your shovel and find a spot on the ground to dig up the soil. It can be any type of soft surface. Fortunately, the tile you get the soil from does not get destroyed in the process. Press R2 (on the controller) using the shovel. The soil will automatically be added to your inventory.
Fertilizer is easy to find, just wander around any location where there are animals, and you will find brown piles on the ground — that's the fertilizer. They are quite small and usually well hidden among the grass and bushes, so look carefully.
Of course, the ability to obtain fertilizer is somewhat out of your control. A good way to get fertilizer early on is to feed animals pumpkins, raspberries, or corn by simply throwing these items on the ground near them.
Next, you will need a garden plot where you can grow seeds. The Garden Plot recipe will be added when crafting the Shovel. To create one tile, you need two soils and one fertilizer.
Seeds can be found in the wild as random drops from creatures, or in chests that can be discovered in ruined houses or caves. Sometimes chests may be well hidden, so break walls and look around carefully.
Once you discover and start crafting items from granite, as well as build a stone crusher, the recipe for a grain mill will be unlocked, which produces seeds when you put food into it.
Below are all the seeds in LEGO Fortnite, where to find them, and what to do with the products they yield. There are other fruits and mushrooms in the game, but they cannot be grown from seeds, so they are not included in this list.
Find a good spot for your garden and place the tiles there. To plant seeds, click on the garden plot to open the inventory screen. From there, move any seed you have to the right side to place it in the garden plot's inventory.
Now you just need to wait for the plant to grow. You'll know the process has started when you see a small sprout above the mound of soil, as shown in the images.
The plant requires time to fully bloom and bear fruit. The game will show the progress stages. At the end, approach the garden plot and collect your harvest.
Seeds grow automatically, which means players don't need to worry about watering them. The more seeds a player places in the garden plot, the longer it will continue to yield harvest. The plant will die after players collect from it. A new one will start growing as long as there is at least one seed left in the garden plot. Once all seeds are used up, plants will no longer grow, but players can still use the garden plot to grow other seedlings.
The vibrant world of LEGO Fortnite offers players the chance to gather resources, build shelters and towns, and even befriend some of the local wildlife. Interacting with animals on the island and caring for them can provide key resources for survival.
All animals love to eat different treats. Chickens, cows, and sheep are often attracted to plants like pumpkins, raspberries, and corn. Simply take one of these products from your inventory and throw it near the animal to catch its attention. They will rush to snack, and you can pet the creature and receive a small reward: eggs, milk, or wool. Animals can also be killed for meat.
Remember, resources are not guaranteed to drop every time, so you may have to repeat several times to increase your chances of a reward.
To create a sustainable farming system, you need to house and protect your new animal friends.
Build simple pens using wooden half-walls, then lure animals inside by throwing food right at the entrance. Fences won't work, as they are easy to climb over. Even characters can't get over half-walls.
Once they reach the treat, quickly build up the entrance by placing the last blocks of the fence. Now you have your own livestock to care for and collect resources from. The problem is, unfortunately, the animal might disappear.
Do not carry weapons near skittish creatures. Experiment with different food items to find out pets' preferences. Pet several times to increase the chances of obtaining resources. Keep an eye on the loot, such as eggs, milk, wool, and fertilizers. Maintain the condition of the pens to keep animals safe.
Use the materials obtained to prepare nutritious meals, craft useful equipment, and grow crops. As your agricultural community thrives, the possibilities in the game will expand.
