How to Save Your Game in No Rest for the Wicked
No Rest for the Wicked is a challenging role-playing game from the creators of Ori, which requires players to pay attention to the game-saving process. In this game, progress is saved only at specific locations. Our guide provides information on what items are needed for saving, how they work, and where they can be found on the game map.
Where and How to Save in No Rest for the Wicked
To save your game in No Rest For The Wicked, you need to interact with a special object known as Cerim Whisper — a mystical blue orb. In the initial area of the Sea Fortress, you can find several such points. The map below highlights some of them to make it easier for you to navigate. Once you activate Cerim Whisper for the first time, the object will be displayed on your map as a white whirlpool, allowing you to easily locate it later.
When the hero dies in No Rest For The Wicked, they respawn at the last active Cerim Whisper they interacted with. This is similar to the Grace Sites system in the game Elden Ring. However, unlike Elden Ring, enemies in No Rest For The Wicked do not return immediately after your respawn. It's also worth noting that frequent deaths will lead to wear and tear on your equipment, which will require repairs later on.
Although Cerim Whisper restores full health upon interaction, the object cannot heal the hero while moving. To recover health, you will need to use any food. In the game, you can cook food on a campfire, which will restore more health than raw ingredients.
Tip: Interact with Cerim Whisper before exiting the game, even if you have activated it before. If you do not do this, all progress after the last interaction will be lost.
