How to Exit the Game No Rest for the Wicked

There are many ways to close the game, but the most correct way is to exit through the menu. In No Rest for the Wicked, there are several menu windows, so you can easily get lost in it. In this guide, we will tell you about all the ways you can exit the game.

How to Completely Close the Game

If you have finished playing and want to leave the session, the quickest way is to use the Alt+F4 key combination. However, this can corrupt your save or revert you to a previous point, forcing you to go through the difficult path with many enemies again.

If you open the game menu by pressing Esc, you will see 6 tabs, but there is no exit button there. This interactive menu is designed for in-game interaction.

To open another menu, you need to press Tab on the keyboard or Start on the gamepad. Here are located 7 tabs, the last of which is Exit to Menu.

Note: The game does not pause, so we recommend exiting the game in a safe zone or after an autosave.

What Other Tabs Are in the Game

If you open the menu using Esc, you will have 6 interactive tabs:

  • Inventory — here are located all the items that are in your pocket, and next to your character with active equipment. To change, just click once on the new item;
  • Characteristics — general information about your character's parameters. When leveling up, here you can invest Characteristic Points;
  • Quests — a tab with tasks that you receive by exploring the world and interacting with surrounding creatures;
  • Map — a map of the terrain, hidden by the fog of war. Over time, the fog will cover the map again, restoring enemies in the explored area and scattering new rewards;
  • Learned Scrolls — blueprints and recipes that can be found in the game world or bought from local traders. This will allow you to create new dishes or craft weapons and consumables;
  • Settings — here you can edit the game settings, however, we recommend doing this on the start screen, as the game may crash or a random enemy may attack you.
