How to Unlock All Costumes and Accessories in Resident Evil 4 Remake

Tired of the standard look and don't want to use mods? Then you're in the right place. Today, we'll tell you about all the costumes and accessories that you can unlock and use in the game Resident Evil 4 Remake.

There are a total of 26 types of clothing in the game. To obtain them, you will need to complete 10 different challenges. You can only switch costumes in the main menu under Main StoryExtras. Accessories, however, can be equipped even during gameplay, in the same section. Many items don't provide advantages, but they're easier to get. Others will require more effort.

How to Unlock All Types of Glasses in the Game

Concerned about poor vision, or just want to look smarter? Maybe you're often blinded by the sun or thrown off by a flaming torch coming your way? With this accessory, you'll be rid of all these problems.

Dark Glasses (Round) — complete the main story on normal or harder difficulty. With these glasses, Leon will look like an adult Harry Potter, plus you'll no longer be blinded by flash grenades.

Dark Glasses (Frameless) — will be unlocked during the main story progression. The only functional feature is immunity to flash grenades. Otherwise, these are just stylish glasses reminiscent of the iconic accessory from The Matrix movie.

Square Glasses — complete the main story on normal or harder difficulty with a rank of A, which means finishing the game in less than 12 hours.

Round Glasses — no special properties noted, although you'll need to complete the game on Hardcore mode to obtain them. Fortunately, the glasses don't fog up after adventures outdoors.

Lexington Glasses — you can get them during the story missions. Quite stylish glasses that are popular nowadays, but without any special properties.

Elongated Dark Glasses (Ashley) — the only accessory for Ashley, which you'll unlock by completing the story. They can also protect the eyes from flash grenades but won't save you from monsters.

How to Unlock All Types of Decorative Masks and Helmets

Resident Evil 4 features 9 headgear options that don't have special properties. Despite this, they can help you create unique content, making the hero stand out among the crowd.

Medical Mask and Ushanka — both accessories are obtained upon completing the story on normal difficulty. There's no airborne virus in the game, and you won't take damage from the cold, but these accessories really suit Leon, slightly changing the perception of the game.

Iron Helmet and Knitted Cap — you will need to complete the game with an A rank (for normal difficulty, this means within a 12-hour limit). The visor can't be lowered, but this helmet pairs well with Ashley's special costume. Meanwhile, the cap, which more closely resembles a bandana, completely hides Leon's hair, revealing his face.

Surgical Mask and Aviator Helmet — can be unlocked by completing the game on Hardcore difficulty or higher. This set looks odd. The mask more closely resembles a disposable medical mask, and the helmet doesn't fit into the game well, looking outdated.

Protective Mask, Skull Mask, and Eyepatch — unlock as you progress through the game. These items have no hidden properties, though their potential is immense. Of all the items presented, the eyepatch seems the weakest, though it looks interesting in cutscenes.

How to Unlock the Gas Mask

Complete the game on Professional difficulty. The gas mask comes with an added feature — it adds an Auto-aim mode at any difficulty. Once you put on this helmet, don't forget to enable the corresponding feature in the settings.

How to Get an S+ Rank

The following accessories require obtaining an S+ rank at a certain difficulty level. To achieve this, you must meet certain conditions:

  • Complete the game within the stated time. Different difficulty modes have their own time limits, which will be specified each time;
  • No more than 15 saves at the typewriter. Autosaves do not count;
  • Do not use New Game+ mode;
  • You can use weapons and items from the bonus shop.

How to Unlock the Wolf Tail

You need to get an S+ rank, choosing the Easy mode. To get an S+ rank, you need to complete the game in less than 4 hours. As a reward, you will receive a wolf tail, which significantly increases the power of melee attacks (without a knife).

How to Get the Deer Antlers

You need to complete the story on normal difficulty with an S+ rank. You will have 5 hours for this. The deer antlers significantly increase the power of knife attacks.

How to Unlock the Chicken Hat

Next up is the Hardcore mode with an S+ rank. You will have 5 hours and 30 minutes to complete it. The chicken hat reduces incoming damage, turning Leon into a durable tank.

How to Activate Cat Ears

The last difficulty mode is Professional, which you need to complete with an S+ rank. You also have to finish within 5 hours and 30 minutes. This cute accessory gives Leon unlimited ammo for all weapons in the game.

How to Unlock Leon and Ashley's Standard Costumes

During the game, Leon and Ashley will change into 2 standard costumes. Simply complete the game on any difficulty to unlock these costumes and set them as you wish.

How to Try On Leon's Striped Suit

You'll unlock the stylish gangster suit along with the Professional mode, by completing the game on normal difficulty. This suit shows you're not new to fighting the virus, but it doesn't offer any additional advantages.

How to Unlock Armor for Ashley

Probably the most useful costume in the game. In this armor, Ashley becomes invulnerable; she cannot be carried away or take physical damage. To unlock it, you need to complete the game on Hardcore difficulty, achieving an A rank (by finishing in no more than 10 hours).
