INDIKA Walkthrough: All Puzzles and Riddles

INDIKA is a surreal horror game that tells the story of a young nun, banished from the monastery for alleged possession. Throughout her journey, she encounters a fugitive prisoner and attempts to help him, but seems to only make things worse. In this guide, we will detail a complete walkthrough of the game and explain how to solve all the puzzles and riddles.

Monastery

The game begins with the girl's fall — similar levels will be encountered throughout the game. On this level, it is essential to collect points: although they do not affect anything, you simply cannot start the next scene without a certain amount.

After the video, you will receive your first assignment. You need to go to the storeroom and pick up a basket to deliver to Sister Smaragda at the dining shop. Follow the only path to the large building. Go down the stairs, and on the right, on the table, you can pick up a book Guide to Using the Steam Machine. You can help the nun and start the machine.

Pass through the building with the piano on which there is a construction made of chairs and a ladder. If you climb up and break it, you will see a funny scene.

Ignore the woman and follow the marker. Pick up the basket and proceed through the log bridge. Continue along the path until you see two nuns exiting a building. In the house on the right, you can pick up a Relic, and then enter the building on the left from which the girls came out. Here you can find a book and pray.

Note: Collecting items and prayers are optional actions. We have already noted that earning points does not affect anything.

Deliver the basket and receive a new task. You need to collect five buckets of water. This segment cannot be skipped. Once you complete the assignment, the next chapter will begin.

Tihon. How to Cross the River

Use Shift to run and reach the crossing via the path. Interact with the door, and after the cutscene, you will have to solve the first problem. To cross to the opposite side, activate the lever and wait for the raft to stop at the other shore. Now switch the handle and run to the bridge. During the return, the raft will briefly pause between the two shores, allowing you to pass.

In the tunnel, find a ladder and place it against the locked grate to cross.

When you reach the elevator, Indika will start hearing a voice. At this moment, you can explore two realities. Hold RMB to start praying and return to normal state, or release the key to open the path.

Go back a bit on the left side and hold RMB. Cross the wooden platform to the right. Release RMB and climb even higher. Again, hold RMB and cross to the opposite side.

When the visions end, inspect the room next to the elevator and pick up the Folding Knife.

Train Wreck. How to solve the safe puzzle

Make your way to the river and watch the cutscene with the train that has derailed. Continue on the left side until you find yourself in a destroyed, overturned building. On the floor at the entrance, you can find an item Last Judgment.

The house has three floors: a piano stands on the second, and on the third, you can interact with a safe. To escape, you need to move the instrument on the second floor to the open window. First, drop the safe to the passage with the staircase, then move it to the left.

In the village, inspect the first house on the left and pick up the item Paraskeva Friday.

There are no more items in the village. Run towards the women's screams, enter the house, and watch the cutscene.

Chase

In this chapter, players simply need to control the sled. Move along the only road forward, listening to the cries of the pursuing officer.

When the pursuer falls behind, Indika will detach the cart. Continue following forward until the cutscene.

Mirco

This is a mini-game where you need to defeat the protagonist's father by completing two laps and arriving at the finish line first. After that, the father will suggest going for a third lap, but his bicycle will break down. Head to the finish and watch the scene with the gypsy.

Village. How to find the wrench

After getting on the bicycle with a steam engine, follow the road, and at the fork, you can choose either side. Soon, you will find yourself in a small village where you need to find a wrench.

First, inspect the house on the right (there's also a huge samovar inside), where you can pray and find a book.

Return to the road and climb into the window of the house opposite, inside there is also a book and a place for prayer. Go through the second window and descend to the shed. Find a ladder, lean it against the building on the left, and find inside a wrench, as well as an item Folding Part.

To get back to Ilya, use the ladder. It needs to be leaned against the logs opposite the building and go through the house. When a huge dog attacks the heroes, run to the nearest house.

Barn

After the cutscene, without waiting for Ilya, climb the ladder with the help of a box. At the very top, wait for the Devil's monologue and enter the door that opens.

When the voice speaks again, you will be able to use prayer. Stick to the left side and walk across the wooden platform to find yourself in the center of the cow. Directly below it, there is a passage, but it will only open if you stop praying. Run to the opposite side and press RMB to reach the exit.

Under the mill

In the burnt building, find the icon Unburnt Savior. If you go up the platform on the left leading to the river, you can enter the house and inspect it. Inside, as usual, there's a book and a place for prayer.

Reach the large ice floe and stand so that its far part lifts higher. Then run forward and climb up.

Lower the sluice gate and run forward along the only path. The ladder to the mill will be destroyed, so you'll have to climb under the structure.

Mill. How to solve puzzles and escape the monster

Having climbed to the mill, drag the iron box on wheels closer to climb up and find a whole key on the table. There are several types here — we took the triangular one.

Insert the key into the planetary gear of the water mill. From this moment, you can give primitive commands to Ilya. Go down again and take the box on wheels. Move it to the cargo right from the elevator. Order your companion to lift the elevator, and you climb onto the cargo. After, ask him to lower the elevator.

Next, you'll have to walk across a plank. Use the keys to control the heroine and stabilize balance. Having crossed to the opposite side, prepare to run from the beast.

Turn left and climb over the barrels. Run straight and jump onto the beams on the right. This way, you'll reach a small room.

Move the table to the neighboring door and climb up. After jumping down, run to the dead end and turn right, but when the beast jumps, immediately turn around and follow in the opposite direction, to the door. On the left, you can go down and reach Ilya.

Station

At the beginning of the chapter, inspect the table on your left hand and take the item Resurrection of Christ. Follow Ilya and wait until he clears the path to the cargo crane.

Activate the engine and interact with the lift. You can lower or raise the cargo as needed to overcome obstacles. Eventually, you need to reach the railway tracks.

Roof

This is the next platform level, where players are supposed to climb to the roof. Note that some platforms may lower upon contact with them, as well as move along a certain trajectory.

Fish factory

At the beginning of the level, you can go down the ladder and see the collectible item Spiritual Tablets behind the bars. To pick it up, climb higher up two flights and go down the opposite ladder.

Next, you will face a series of platform levels where you need to dodge giant fish hanging from the platforms. Follow Ilya until the heroes fall into the water (in the second room, dodging the fish will be impossible).

Stroboscopic effect. How to solve the elevator puzzle

After the cutscene, follow your friend. Soon, you will reach a room where you can pray, and a little later, you will find yourself at a staircase and two elevators. They will be needed to cross to the opposite side.

To solve this puzzle, use the following algorithm:

  1. Raise the elevator on the left to the second floor.
  2. Climb the stairs to the third floor and lower the elevator on the right to the first floor.
  3. Climb the stairs to the second floor and raise the elevator on the left to the intermediate floor (one flight up).
  4. Jump onto the roof of the elevator on the right, then climb the stairs to the third floor and cross to the opposite side.

Continue following your partner until you find yourself among huge cans. Use the switch, run to the left side and climb down the cans.

Remove one of the cans on the other side and place it nearby so you can climb up. Set the loader so that its top part is between the cans and serves as a platform for the heroine.

Pond

A standard platform level. Nothing complicated. Just time your movements to the disappearance of the platforms (frogs) and progress through the level.

Spasov. How to escape the loop

Walk to the end of the platform and get into the elevator on the right.

Use the lever to set the platform to the middle position and climb higher.

At the top level, go through an opening resembling a window. Here, there will be several wooden platforms you can climb.

Soon, you will find another lever. First, raise the platform so the heroine can reach the hatch on the left. There is a metal box here — drop it down and return to the lever to raise the platform even higher. Now, use the box to climb up.

After emerging into the city, find the ladder next to the elevator and descend to the lower level. In the dead-end, pick up the item The Life of Saint Jonah. Move the safe to the wooden platform to climb through the window and exit on the other side of the building.

Use the mechanism to set the platform in the required area. Refer to the screenshot.

In the passage where you meet Ilya, there is a staircase. Climbing it, you will find the item Paraskeva Pyatnitsa. Continue following your friend to end up in a spatial loop.

In fact, the solution to the puzzle is very simple, but we have not found a way to pick up the collectible item hidden behind the pipes at the boiler. To get out of the loop, just place a metal box between two similar objects and jump into the hole that is in the next room.

Kudets. How to solve the wall puzzle

Continue following your friend until you reach the scaffolding. To the left will be an elevator — go down to the lower level, then climb onto the cargo on the opposite side. This will give you access to the intermediate level, where you can pick up the collectible item Masha walked in the grove.

Stand on the platform and instruct Ilya to lower you to the lift. To solve this puzzle, you will have to use two walls. Take the wall with two arches and place it across. Then, along this wall from above, place the wall with one arch.

Follow your companion and watch the cutscene.

Bicycle shop

Another platform level. To complete it, collect all the coins while dodging Indika's father. From time to time, he will throw wrenches, which will take away the collected money upon hitting. If the father catches the gypsy, you will have to start the level over.

Makar the Scytheman

In this chapter, simply follow the guard forward and watch the lengthy video.

Pawnshop

After escaping, run through the only passage on the left to the pawnshop. When Kudets is in Indika's hands, pray three times, after which you will be able to earn an infinite number of points. This is optional, as we have already mentioned, they do not affect the plot or anything else.

How to Get All Achievements in INDIKA

Chapter «Monastery». Achievement «Sisterly Love». You can get this achievement at the very beginning of the game. As mentioned earlier, you will pass through a building with a piano. Climb onto it and try to use the ladder.

Chapter «Tikhon». Achievement «Unholy Water». To get this achievement, you need to perform a series of non-obvious actions, namely — drown in the river at least five times.

Chapter «Tikhon». Achievement «Portaissa». Right after the ferry, you will enter a tunnel where you will find a ladder. However, do not rush to place it at the door and cross to the other side. Take it and go back. At the pier, you will see a place where you can set up the ladder and climb to find a painting.

Chapter «Tikhon». Achievement «True Virtue». You can get this achievement if you meet a mandatory condition after Indika starts hearing the Devil's voice. You need to complete the segment using the prayer only once. When the world changes, go back a bit and press the right mouse button. The bridge in front of you will become normal — cross it and release the button. Turn around and look at the already broken bridge, then climb to its top part. Cross the roof of the building and jump down to silence the voice. It's important not to press the right mouse button again after the bridge!

Chapter «Train Wreck». Achievement «Last Path». As soon as the cutscene with the deceased officer ends, approach him closely and pray. This will earn you the achievement.

Chapter «Train Wreck». Achievement «Rachmaninoff». Another non-obvious achievement that can be obtained by performing specific actions. On the upper floor of the overturned house, you will find a safe, which you need to use to move the piano on the floor below. Move the safe from corner to corner five times.

Chapter «Road». Achievement «Piety». When Indika and Ilya first encounter the giant dog, do not run after the guy; instead, hold the right mouse button and pray. If it didn't work, you can get the achievement later in the next chapter.

Chapter «Mill». Achievement «Piety». If you missed the achievement in the previous chapter, wait until the segment of chasing the giant dog begins. You will run into a small room with a table. Move the table and look around — there will be an icon in the corner that you can interact with. Pray to get the achievement.

Chapter «Station». Achievement «Meticulousness». When you reach the elevator with the cargo, move it forward, destroying all the boxes in your path. If no boxes are left, you will get the achievement.

Chapter «Fish Factory». Achievement «Bream». In the segment where you need to move across platforms, dodging giant fish, fall into the water at least 10 times (excluding the story-related descent into the water).

Chapter «Fish Factory». Achievement «Jeweler». Complete the same segment with the fish and platforms without falling into the water once, excluding the story-related descent into the water.

Chapter «Stroboscopic Effect». Achievement «John of Damascus». This achievement cannot be missed, as you will receive it right after the cutscene with Ilya's hand being cut off.

Chapter «Pond». Achievement «Thirst for Kisses». To get this achievement, you need to drown in the pond at least ten times.

Chapter «Spasov». Achievement «Pair». To obtain this achievement, you need to find a pair of bast shoes. As soon as you ascend in the elevator and see the exit to the city in front of you, don't rush to go there. Raise the elevator two levels higher using the lever. Find the ledge from which you can jump to the platform, and from there to the tin cans, where the first bast shoe will be waiting.

When you find yourself in the city and reach the non-working elevator near the stairs, do not go down! Instead, cross the wooden plank to the opposite side into the dead end and find the second bast shoe on the box to the left.

Chapter «Kudets». Achievement «Joke». While moving with Ilya on the scaffolding on the giant wall, you can find an elevator on the left side. Interact with it to go down, then exit and climb onto the stone load that holds the elevator. You will reach an intermediate floor where you can find a chair and a book with a joke.

Chapter «Pawnshop». Achievement «Kudets». This is the second story achievement that cannot be missed. The achievement will become available when Indika picks up the kudets.
