Guide to Building a House in Genshin Impact: How to Quickly Level Up the Serenitea Pot, Where to Find Furniture Blueprints and Wood
With the latest 1.5 update in Genshin Impact, a new house building mechanic was introduced. Now, any player can build a comfortable home for themselves and furnish it to their liking. In this guide, we will tell you how to unlock the house building feature in Genshin Impact, how to quickly gather resources for construction and blueprint study.
You can start building houses in Genshin Impact if you meet several mandatory conditions. First, your character must reach Adventure Rank 35. Second, upon reaching the necessary adventure rank, you must complete several parts of the quest A Teapot to Call Home. During the quest, you will be able to choose the visual style of the dwelling on which the construction will take place.
How to Quickly Increase Adventure Rank for House Building in Genshin Impact
Adventure Rank in Genshin Impact is the main indicator of your game account's progression. As you increase your Adventure Rank, new quests and opportunities will become available to you. The same goes for building in Genshin Impact — you can only start building and furnishing your own homes upon reaching Adventure Rank 35.
There are several effective ways to quickly increase your Adventure Rank:
- Complete all the Archon quest story missions. These missions consist of several quests, completing which can earn you a lot of adventure experience.
- [b]Complete all available side quests and world quests. Side quests are another good way to earn a large amount of adventure experience.
- Complete daily commissions. Every day, at 4:00 AM, four simple commissions become available to all players, completing which will earn you a lot of adventure experience. Starting from Adventure Rank 15, completing all daily commissions can earn you additional adventure experience points in the Adventurers' Guild (Mondstadt and Liyue).
- Defeat monsters in the open world or explore dungeons. Defeating monsters and exploring dungeons will require spending a certain amount of Original Resin. In any case, this method is a standard grind for adventure experience.
How to Complete the A Teapot to Call Home Quest for House Building in Genshin Impact
Upon reaching Adventure Rank 35, open the quest journal and find this task among the general quests. Click Track Quest and head to the marker on the map. Upon arrival, simply talk to the character named Madame Ping, who will kindly give you the Serenitea Pot in exchange for a small favor. When this item first appears in your inventory, find it in the Tools tab, then select and click Place at the bottom right of the screen.
As we mentioned earlier, upon your first interaction with the Serenitea Pot, you need to choose the visual style of the abode where you will engage in construction. There are three abodes to choose from:
- Floating Abode. A floating archipelago in the air. The most common form of Adeptal abode. Endless expanses with nothing but clouds.
- Emerald Peak. A mountain peak piercing the clouds. At least, that's how it appears. But when inside the teapot, the highest mountain cannot be taller than a tea leaf.
- Cool Isle. An archipelago surrounded by water. Wonder how many cups of tea could be brewed from this vast archipelago?
How to Increase Tubby's Trust Level
Tubby is your mentor in the world of construction. To unlock new features of the Serenitea Pot and blueprints, you need to increase your trust level with this character. Currently, the only way to level up Tubby's trust is by crafting items from new blueprints. Recreating existing furniture items will not affect the trust level.
After constructing any objects, don't forget to return to Tubby and collect the accumulated coins in the treasury, which can later be used to purchase various items from the teapot spirit. You have a total of 10 trust levels available. For each subsequent level, you are guaranteed to receive one or more new blueprints for crafting furniture, as well as:
- Adeptal Speed-Up Vial (10 pcs);
- Primogems (60 pcs).
Also, as you increase the trust level, you will be able to change the form of your abode to one of the three options given to you when you first used the Serenitea Pot.
What Items Can Be Purchased With Accumulated Coins
Tubby is not only the keeper of the Serenitea Pot but also a decent merchant. With the coins accumulated in the abode, you can purchase quite useful items:
- Fabric x5 (10 coins);
- Transient Resin (1200 coins);
- Hero's Wit (120 coins);
- Mystic Enhancement Ore (60 coins);
- Mora x10,000 (120 coins);
- Sanctifying Essence (360 coins);
- Sanctifying Unction (90 coins).
In addition to the main items, in Tubby's treasury, you can create Adeptal Speed-Up Vials, various shrubs and trees, as well as blueprints for crafting furniture.
Where to Get Blueprints for Furniture Crafting
The majority of blueprints can be purchased from Tubby in the Treasures section. Blueprints for seasonal and unique furniture can be acquired during events and activities that become available with each new update in Genshin Impact. In seasonal shops, you can find anywhere from two to ten different blueprints for crafting items.
Another way to obtain blueprints for items and furniture in Genshin Impact is to purchase them from vendors.
- Goth: this vendor is located in the southern part of Mondstadt, near a small fountain. You can only find him during the day. If you try to buy goods at night, you simply won't find the vendor there.
- Master Lu: is located in Qingce Village, east of Mondstadt.
After acquiring new blueprints, open your inventory, go to the Treasures tab, and study them. To do this, select the blueprint and press use in the bottom right corner of the screen.
How to Craft Furniture, Materials, and Paints
All furniture can be crafted at Tubby's, in the Furniture Crafting section. To craft any piece of furniture, you need to open the blueprint and gather the required amount of wood (where to find all the wood in Genshin Impact is described below).
Also, crafting will require time — the most valuable resource. Depending on the rarity class of the item, it can take from 12 hours (for two-star items) to 16 hours (for four-star items) to craft. You can reduce the crafting time for furniture using the Adeptal Speed-Up Vials we've already described. We recommend not to save bonus accelerations for furniture crafting but to use them immediately for crafting four-star furniture.
Each crafted item will give you a different amount of reputation or trust depending on the rarity of the item, but only once. You will not gain additional experience for crafting furniture that has already been crafted before.
To produce furniture from rare blueprints, fabric and paint will also be required. The most common plants for manufacturing these resources:
- Fabric: can be crafted from silk flowers, which can be found in the open world or purchased from the herbalist vendor in Liyue;
- Red Paint: use carrots, valberries, and sunsettias to craft this paint;
- Yellow Paint: for making this paint, you will need regular yellow berries, which can be picked from bushes, or cor lapis;
- Blue Paint: mint leaves are perfect for creating this paint.
How to Increase the Power of Adepts
After crafting furniture, we recommend not wasting time and installing the crafted items in your home. This way, you will immediately start gaining reputation and trust of the Serenitea Pot.
The power of Adepts will automatically increase after placing any buildings and furniture in your abode. The fastest way to increase the power of Adepts is to craft and place interior sets in your home. Such sets become available as you increase the level of trust with Tubby, and finding them in the editing menu is easy (just select the Interior Sets tab).
Interior sets allow you to earn additional Adeptal Energy points by creating all the necessary elements in one room. How it works. For placing any furniture you crafted, you will gain Adeptal Energy. However, if these same elements are assembled in one room and correctly placed, you will receive additional Adeptal Energy points.
Remember, the more Adeptal Energy points you gain, the faster you will increase Tubby's trust level. This will directly affect your development: you will be able to learn more blueprints, additional slots for crafting furniture will become available, and the maximum capacity of the wealth jar for collecting money will increase.
How to Increase the Speed of Item Crafting. How to Allow Friends to Visit the Serenitea Pot and Speed Up Furniture Crafting
Adeptal Speed-up Vials are necessary for accelerating the speed of item crafting. They appear for sale with Tubby every new day. Even if you cannot fully engage with the game, we still recommend visiting Tubby and purchasing one vial each day. This will be very useful for accelerating furniture crafting later on.
If you play Genshin Impact with friends, you can allow them to visit your Serenitea Pot even in your absence. This will positively affect its development, as friends can speed up the crafting of your items.
To allow friends to visit the Serenitea Pot, while you are in it, open the map (key M) and select the guest menu in the upper right corner of the screen.
In the menu that opens, click on the dropdown menu and select Serenitea Pot Visiting Rules: Direct Entry. This will allow all your contacts to visit the pot during your absence. Now your friends can visit your pot and speed up the production of items.
To enter the Serenitea Pot of your friends, open the friends menu, select a friend and click on the icon with the image of their main character. In the menu that opens, click Request to Visit Serenitea Pot, or Enter Serenitea Pot, if the friend allowed direct entry.
When you appear in your friend's Serenitea Pot, talk to Tubby. Select the only available option Improve Friendship, to craft faster.
Where to find resources (how to quickly gather wood) for building houses in Genshin Impact. Where to find (birch, cedar, fir, pine, bamboo, sandbearer wood, and cuihua)
With the introduction of the house building feature in Genshin Impact, special resources were also added — various types of wood. Trees themselves cannot be destroyed, but just two strong hits are enough to gather several units of the resource. You can get up to four units of wood from each tree, after which you should wait a few minutes for the resource to fully regenerate.
To find the necessary plant, you can use the interactive map of Genshin Impact, which already has all the new resources marked. All trees can also be found near fast travel points. We have detailed where you can easily find any trees in the game.
Birch
This plant can be found almost everywhere, but a large number of birches are concentrated at the Dawn Winery. Use fast travel to this location and look around. Also, quite a lot of birches can be found in the Starfell Lake region, east of Mondstadt.
Fragrant Cedar
Use fast travel to the Wolvendom location and gather the necessary amount of fragrant cedar. There is so much of it here that you won't have to wander through the vast world of Genshin Impact in search of the necessary resources.
Fir
Unlike the previous trees, fir does not grow everywhere. The main part of the vegetation is located south of Mondstadt, near the Brightcrown Canyon. Use fast travel to this area and look around. Literally, the entire hill is covered with the trees you need.
Pine
Pines in Genshin Impact are found only in snowy regions, such as Dragonspine. One of the best places for gathering is the region near the teleport, close to Minyun Village.
Bamboo
Bamboo is a thermophilic plant, so it can only be found in the southern part of the open world of Genshin Impact. Use fast travel to Qingce Village, in the Bishui Plain region, and gather the necessary amount of resources.
Sandbearer Wood
A very rare plant, most often found in the southern region of the Cloudy Hinterlands. We are interested in the very top teleport, between Mount Aocang and the Bishui Plain. These trees have a curved trunk, so you will immediately understand where to look for them.
Cuihua
This tree can be found almost everywhere. If you have been playing Genshin Impact for a long time, you probably already know the approximate location of these plants, as the sunsettia fruit grows on such trees.
What is Load and How to Reduce Load When Installing Furniture in Genshin Impact
Your house in your Serenitea Pot is not elastic, so you can place a limited number of items in it. The so-called load displays the maximum level of items in each room. As you've already understood, the load is determined for each room separately.
The load indicator can be tracked in the upper right corner of the screen. It displays three colors — green, yellow, and red. If the load indicator reaches the red level, you will not be able to install items in that room.
Since you will receive Adeptal Energy for installing furniture, if there is a high load, you can try to unload the room by removing some items or arranging them using interior sets.
If the load in the house is determined for each separate room, then outside, the load is general for the entire location of the teapot. We do not recommend cluttering it with unnecessary items. It's best to do this inside the house.
