Best Effective Card Combinations in Loop Hero
In the role-playing indie game Loop Hero, you can't control the character, but your goal is to keep them from dying by building the world and giving them terrain bonuses. Bonuses aren't always something good, for example, summoning enemies. However, the right combinations of terrain cards can make your character almost invincible.
Terrain cards should be placed on the black tiles along the sides of the loop that the character walks on. Some cards are available by default, while others drop from monsters. Of course, it's quite fascinating to explore all the possible combinations of these cards, which has become one of the game's features. In this guide, we will describe most of the possible combos and their bonuses.
Absolutely all cards interact with each other, and each card placed will somehow transform the world and various stats.
Treasury + any card. Place the treasury on a free tile (we advise doing this at the beginning of the game) so it doesn't touch other cards. Now place any card on a neighboring tile and receive a random resource.
The more different cards around the treasury, the more resources it gives. However, when all the adjacent tiles to the treasury are occupied, it becomes empty, and a gargoyle will appear every 3 days.
Mountain + Rock. Increases health by 10 units. If you place two rocks next to a mountain, health increases by another 10. Can be placed around the treasury to receive resources.
Mountains + Rocks. If you place mountains and rocks in a 3x3 square, this terrain will transform into a mountain peak. The peak gives a lot of resources and 120 health units, while placing harpies on the battlefield every 3 days.
Vampire Mansion + Village. A standalone vampire mansion releases these monsters onto neighboring tiles. In combination with a village, it turns into an even more dangerous place — an overtaken village with hordes of vampires. It's hard to pass through without losses, as you will have to fight five mobs at once.
However, on the fourth pass through such a village, it becomes an enhanced village and will heal better and give more interesting quests. One vampire mansion can make three villages in a row overtaken.
Vampire Mansion + Swamp. The healing effect of vampirism will instead cause damage to any attacker, including your character.
Battlefield x2. Such cards can only be placed next to a village. Place two battlefields next so that they cover one straight path. Then the path becomes bloody: every 4 days in this place on the battlefield, special blood mobs will appear.
Meadow + any card. Placing a meadow next to any other card, except for another meadow, turns it into a blooming meadow, which restores 3 health units per day.
Blooming Meadow + Chrono Crystal. The Chrono Crystal doubles the amount of health restored by the blooming meadow. You will receive 6 HP per day from one blooming meadow next to a chrono crystal.
Rock/Mountain x10. Placing 10 rock and/or mountain cards across the entire map will spawn a goblin camp at a random location along the path. Goblins are stronger than other monsters, but their camp can easily be removed with the Oblivion card.
Goblin Camp + Swamp. This combination replaces regular goblins with archers, who are, as you might guess, much stronger and more dangerous.
Village x2. Two villages at any location on the map will spawn a bandit camp also at a random location. A bandit from the bandit camp will emerge onto adjacent tiles every two days. Bandits are as dangerous as goblins, so it's better to remove their camps with the aforementioned card.
Grove + Blood Grove. Together, they create a Hungry Grove, where different enemies appear. For example, fierce flesh golems may appear, dropping excellent bonuses. The Hungry Grove kills anyone whose health drops below 15%.
Temple of Lightning + Forest. Place the Temple of Lightning so that the forest is in the path of the lightning strikes, and you will get a burning forest. Such tiles will increase not the attack speed, but the damage of magical attacks.
River + Desert/Sand. This combination will give you an oasis, which decreases the attack speed of the character, while the attack speed of all enemies will be even lower.
River + Battlefield. Creating this combination, you will get a shipwreck. After that, chests and sirens will appear.
River + Road. This combo will create thickets where fishermen will appear.
Forest/Thicket x10. 10 such cards will create a tile named Village?, where a training camp will be.
Village? + Wheat Field. This way, you will get an overcrowded field.
