How to Increase Inventory and Stash Capacity in Fallout 76
In Fallout 76, as in many other role-playing games, you constantly run out of free space in your inventory. At the same time, you have to constantly collect various items and resources. To avoid running to the workbench every time, you can increase the maximum carry weight.
How to Increase Maximum Inventory Size
There are several ways to increase inventory capacity in Fallout 76. The simplest way is to level up the Strength skill. Each point adds 5 pounds to your maximum carry weight.
The next step is to use perk cards that reduce the weight of various items. This way, you can reduce the weight of stimpaks, ammo, weapons, food, and armor. Naturally, you should choose only those perks that help with the items you use.
If you do not use Power Armor, then use special armor. Such armor adds 5 pounds of additional weight for each piece.
As a last resort, you can get a buff from various substances, such as a «Buffout» pill. But this is a temporary solution that can cause addiction.
How to Increase Maximum Stash Capacity
Unfortunately, in Fallout 76, there is no way to increase stash capacity. Its limit is 400 pounds. But here are some tips to help you make the most of it:
- Do not store junk; break it down into materials.
- If you do not plan to use weapons or armor, break them down into materials.
- You can sell weapons, armor, and explosives that you will not use — they will bring in a good income. At the very least, it will be enough for fast travel.
- Create your own base to have a place to spend excess resources.
- After building your base, you can discard most of the steel and wood. They are easy to find.
- You can use steel to craft throwing knives and then break them down. You will get back half the steel and gain experience.
- Use the workbench to craft ammo from gunpowder, which is quite heavy, so carrying bullets is more beneficial.
- Use recipes and plans, then get rid of duplicates.
- If you do not use ammo of a certain type, you can trade it with other players for your own.
