How to Level Up Quickly in Diablo 4

Proper character leveling is key to defeating opponents in the Diablo series. The fourth installment is no exception. This guide will teach you how to quickly gain experience points, allowing you to level up your hero to the maximum.

First, note that leveling up can be useless without top-notch gear. By engaging in certain activities, such as holding off waves of demons in the «Hellish Onslaught,» you can combine gaining experience points with farming powerful equipment.

Keep in mind that various bonuses to the number of experience points earned stack with each other.

To start, you can choose the easiest difficulty level and complete the solo campaign. This way, you will unlock all the main activities and content that become available after defeating the final boss. At the same time, you will be able to level up your hero to around level 40.

But you can be more cunning. During your first playthrough, additional leveling methods will be available to you. First and foremost, we recommend paying attention to the Altars of Lilith. Praying to them will grant you additional attribute points and enhancements, as well as increase the maximum number of Obols. The latter can simplify the search for legendary gear.

During your first playthrough, you can increase your renown level in each region. This will unlock leveling bonuses that will apply to all your heroes. In addition to the already mentioned Altars of Lilith, you should look for waypoints, complete dungeons and strongholds, and simply explore the locations. All of this can be done alongside completing the main story quests.

While it's worth completing strongholds and dungeons, it's better to leave side quests for later or even skip them altogether. They take a lot of time to complete, and the rewards are much lower compared to other activities. If your goal is accelerated leveling, it's better to finish the main storyline as quickly as possible.

After defeating Lilith, not only new content becomes available, but also the ability to change the difficulty level. If you feel up to it, immediately choose Nightmare (3rd level).

This way, you will unlock access to the «Hellish Onslaught» mode and especially challenging nightmare dungeons. There, experience points will accumulate at an incredible rate.

If you feel that you are not ready for a high difficulty level, start completing the Whispering Tree quests. It is located in Hawezar, in the Sanctuary. The quests you can get there will bring a lot of experience.

Also, pay attention to the Fields of Hatred. These are arenas for battles with live players, but if you wish, you can disable the PvP mode and simply kill elite demons that you encounter in these zones.
