7 Days to Die is a survival game with building elements. To deal with the local zombies, you will not only have to fight but also develop your settlement. During the game, you will need resources that can be found on your own or bought from traders. In this guide, you will learn how to interact with local sellers.
Among the traders' tasks are treasure hunts and other items, target elimination, and more complex missions. Each of them will bring you one or more reputation points. Once their number reaches ten, a special quest will appear, allowing you to find the next trader in another biome. To unlock another one, you will need ten more reputation points.
Note that traders' tasks are not difficult but bring experience points, money, and valuable materials. We highly recommend completing them all. For every ten levels of reputation, you unlock a new tier. This way, you will receive additional rewards and unlock new, more challenging quests. If the first quests are related to small houses, the last ones take place in factories and fortresses teeming with aggressive zombies.
To start a quest, talk to the trader about the job they offer. You can only activate two tasks at one tier at the same time. After that, you need to go to the point of interest and interact with the large exclamation mark. There are no time limits, but if you leave the location, you will fail the mission. One trader can give a limited number of tasks per day. If they run out, spend the night and return the next morning.
There are a total of six types of quests from traders in the game:
There are two perks in the game that will be useful when dealing with traders. The «Better Barter» ability lowers prices at traders and increases the value of your items that you want to sell. The «Daring Adventurer» skill increases the reward for completing trader quests and expands their range of goods.
Also, pay attention to consumables that increase trading efficiency. The «Sugar Butts» gum and cigar make all deals 10% more profitable, while the «Awesome Grandpa's Moonshine» does so by 20%.
This trader from the forest biome specializes in seeds and various edible dishes. You won't have problems with them anyway, so the trader will be most useful for those who decide to professionally engage in farming. Note that his assortment includes random items from other categories, so at the early stage of the game, we recommend visiting Rekt once every three days. There may be a situation where he has an item you need for sale.
The most useful trader at the early stage of the game. The girl's assortment includes many antibiotics and other medical items that will be constantly needed. Do not skimp, buy as many bandages and medicines as possible to survive another night when zombies are most active.
A specialist in firearms. In his assortment, you will find rifles and pistols, various ammunition for them, as well as parts required for crafting. Hugh hides in the snow biome, so reaching him will not be easy. However, at the early stage of the game, his goods will be too expensive for you anyway.
Being a resident of the desert biome, Bob is well-versed in cars and various tools. He will be useful in the middle of the game when you have enough resources to make your own vehicle. Some components can be purchased from this trader.
At the later stages of the game, when you reach the wastelands, find Joel. This man will sell you armor sets that are simply necessary for survival.
