How to Find All Recipes (Torn Pages) in Black Myth: Wukong
The ability to restore health always plays an important role in an action RPG. Very often, along with using healing items, other character attributes are temporarily increased. In Black Myth: Wukong, you can either purchase them for Will points or find their recipes and craft them using resources. Let's take a look at where they are stored.
How to Find Xu Dog
Before collecting all the recipes, we need to complete the quest of this NPC. Initially, he is located in the Sandy Gate Village.
Move to the Settlement Entrance altar, and then go in the opposite direction, jumping down.
Next, turn right into the cave, where Xu Dog awaits you by a rock slightly northwest of the entrance.
After talking to the NPC, head to the ravine located to the right of the character. At the bottom, a boss named Lan-li-gu-bao will be waiting for you.
Defeat him to earn the Evil Protection Potion, which needs to be given to Xu Dog. This way, you will earn your first recipe, which significantly reduces incoming damage, and you will be able to craft this medicine instead of buying it.
Xu Dog's Recipes
Head to the Crouching Tiger Temple, Basement altar. To the right of the altar, you can notice a small recess with pots and vases. Approaching it, you will see a small cutscene and Xu Dog.
Talk to him to unlock the ability to purchase the following recipes:
- Longevity Decoction — available starting from Chapter 2. Increases the maximum amount of health points for a long period of time;
- Tonifying Decoction — available starting from Chapter 3. Increases the maximum amount of stamina points for a long period of time;
- Essence Decoction — available starting from Chapter 4. Increases the maximum amount of mana points for a long period of time;
- Loong Aura Amplification Pellets — available starting from Chapter 5. Increases attack attributes, critical hit chances, and critical damage multiplier for a long period of time;
- Loong Aura Amplification Pellets — available starting from Chapter 5. Increases attack attributes, critical hit chances, and critical damage multiplier for a long period of time;
- Soul Remigration Pill — available starting from New Game+. Revives the character for a long period after death without using the Rescue Thread spell.
Now let's take a look at how to obtain the remaining recipes.
Fortifying Medicament
Increases resilience effect, reducing the chance of interruption for some of your abilities and attacks.
To obtain its recipe, you need to defeat the boss Chen Long and talk to Xu Dog. Head to the Bitter Lake (North Shore) altar, turn in the opposite direction and move forward to a small house.
Before reaching the building, descend onto the ice and look for Chen Long on the left side. After defeating him, head back to the Crouching Tiger Temple, Basement altar, where after talking to Xu Dog, you will receive the recipe.
Enhanced Tiger Subduing Pellets
Increases damage dealt to enemies for a long period of time.
The recipe is located near the Bitter Lake, Vow Corridor point. Move forward to the right side of the altar, overcoming a small descent, until you reach a table with a small chest.
Body-Fleeting Powder
For a short period of time, your character no longer spends stamina points when performing certain actions.
Move to the New Thunderous Temple, Vow Corridor altar. Turn right to walk through the building and climb the left flight of stairs. Then head straight along another building until you reach a staircase on the left. Descend and enter a small temple to use the ladder in the far right corner. After climbing up, exit to the balcony and walk to the end of the wooden bridge, where a chest with the recipe will be located.
Enhanced Ginseng Pellets
After use, grants the character a large amount of Focus points.
Use the Web Pit, Leafy Bridge altar and the road to its left. At the fork a little later, take the left path and head towards the two lanterns and the small recess after them, where the recipe is stored in one of the chests.
Mirage Pill
Grants the character a certain amount of power reserve for transformation upon consumption.
You will need the Web Pit, Leafy Bridge altar again, but this time after the wooden crossing, head right. Run through the crevice, keeping to the right side, until you see a cliff with a peculiar descent. Once at the bottom, notice the ascent and the tree with a house on the left side, head there. Circumvent the building from the back and climb up again, enter the small building on the right with the recipe in a chest on the table.
Life-Saving Pill
Fully restores health and removes any of the four curse effects.
The recipe can be found in the hidden location of Chapter Four Mount Purple Clouds, which needs to be unlocked first, for example, by following our guide.
Move to the Nest in the Clouds altar, then cross the bridge ahead, immediately turn left onto the stairs. After that, head right, past the big tree and large rock, where you'll find a gap in the fences. Without entering it, run past the house and go forward, crossing a small bridge, where in the first building immediately after it will be a chest with the recipe.
Septenary Heartfire Pill
Resets the cooldown time of any magical abilities upon use.
You will again need to unlock the secret location first, but this time for Chapter Five.
Head to the Bishui Cave, Purification Pit altar. Using jumps, climb the small staircase to the left of the altar, which will lead to an arena, where directly opposite you will be a chest.
Ascension Powder
For a short period of time, any actions no longer consume stamina points to perform.
Can be obtained by defeating the mandatory boss of Chapter Six Senior Overseer, located at the very beginning of the chapter.
Collecting all recipes will earn you the Scroll Keeper achievement, and you will also be able to determine which item best suits your character.
