Hello Neighbor 2 is the continuation of the colorful stealth horror game where you need to uncover the mystery of several missing children. In this walkthrough, we will describe all the puzzles and riddles, help you find keys, plot items, and open all the doors in the game.

Prologue. How to Escape the Hangar

After the introductory cutscene, the hero will find himself in a hangar. Press the lever and enter the adjacent room. Take the key from the wall and use it to open the door.

In the same room, take the crowbar from the box and use it to break the glass of the display case. Pick up the green gear.

In the room whose door you opened with the key, take the blue gear.

Use the crowbar on the red board near the van, cross the board, and climb the ladder to the top. Here is the red gear.

Install the gears by color on the panel next to the exit and press the lever.

Watch the cutscene, after which the protagonist will find himself in his house.

Missing Boy's House. How to Find Four Keys and Get to the Basement

In the morning, you will see police officers cordoning off the missing boy's house. You will have to figure out what's going on. Go to the house and walk around it on the right side. The policeman is patrolling the veranda and will stay there until you find scissors or attract attention.

The fact is that the artificial intelligence in this game is self-learning. If you attract the cop's attention even once, he will patrol not only the veranda but will occasionally walk around the house. Therefore, do everything as carefully as possible. While the cop is outside, you can move on foot (not crouching).

Below we will describe how to find four keys and get to the basement.

How to Find the First Key. What is the Safe Code

Enter the house and inspect the refrigerator. Inside is the number 4. Then go to the toilet and lift the toilet tank lid — the number 9. Near the safe lies a cube with the number 8. Near the far window in the same room is a cube with the number 1.

Inspect the colored flags behind the safe, combine the numbers on the cubes, and take the first key:

How to Find Three Dolls and Get the Second Key

First Doll

To the right of the dollhouse in the kitchen, use the crowbar on the red wooden board. You will get the girl doll.

Second Doll

In the kitchen above the cabinet, there is a grate. If you inspect it, you will see the neighbor's doll. You can reach it from the opposite side. Walk around the room and find a similar cabinet in the hallway. Climb on it, interact with the painting, and take the doll.

Here you can also see a drawing depicting the neighborhood and marking a treehouse. It will be needed to find the scissors and reach the second floor.

Third Doll

Go downstairs and inspect the painting to the right of the stairs. Interact with it to open another puzzle. You need to enter three letters.

Run to the room on the left and turn on the TV. You will see the inscription Nouds of Tanure. Use three letters from these words to open the secret passage — NOT.

Here, take the boy doll. There is also a crowbar here — perhaps you lost yours somewhere?

How to Arrange the Dolls

Place the dolls on the dollhouse as indicated on the drawing on the refrigerator (from left to right):

  • Girl;
  • Boy;
  • Neighbor.

How to Get to the Second Floor and Obtain the Third Key

Leave the missing boy's house and go to the treehouse. Approaching it, you will notice that the ladder is raised. You can get up another way. Nearby behind the house, there is a trampoline. Jump on it to reach the roof of the building. Walk along the branch and climb into the house.

Inside, press the robot drawing. It will move, and you will be able to pick up the arm with a sword.

Insert the arm into the robot and turn both arms as shown in the drawing.

Take the switch and insert it into the mechanism on the table. The train will move the scissors, take them.

Return to the house and use the scissors on the police tape. If you haven't made noise earlier and didn't attract the cop's attention, you will notice that he is now in the house on the first floor.

Go upstairs and move the painting in front of you. Take the monitor.

Inspect the green box and take the lever. Insert it into the device on the wall and activate it. The cabinet will move, and you will be able to take the battery and camera. To get the battery, cut the web with scissors. The camera is in a locked drawer (use the crowbar).

Now go out into the hallway and run to the far room on the left. Try not to step on the scattered toys as they will make noise and attract the policeman.

Next to the lamp, you will see a toy car. Insert the battery into the toy and press the lever. The car will drive and stop under the bed. Press the lever again to get the key.

How to Get the Fourth Key

To get the fourth key, you need to collect all the photo fragments of the neighbor. They are located on the second floor.

The first photo fragment can be found in the cabinet behind the police tape.

The second one is in a wooden box in the hallway.

The third fragment can be found in a locked cabinet in the children's room. To do this, you need to find the weight on the cabinet and place it on the metal platform. Cut the web with scissors to reach the weight.

The last photo fragment is hidden in a white pillow in the children's room. Cut the patch with scissors.

Return to the room with the photo and insert all the pieces into the frame. A drawer on the right shelf will move, revealing the key.

Now that you have four keys, go down to the first floor and lure the policeman out of the room. You can use an alarm clock for this — one is in the kitchen, and the other in the room with the TV. You may need to repeat the actions several times as you might not have enough time to use all four keys.

Go down to the basement and inspect the newspaper clipping. After a short cutscene, a key will appear under it. Use it to unlock the door and get out of the basement. Watch another in-engine video.

Where to Go After the Basement

In the final cutscene, you will see paper airplanes scattered around the city. Go out onto the road and run to the left following the airplanes and birds. You will find yourself at the neighbor's house.

Enter inside and look around. There is a shovel — take it. When you do this, the hero will faint and wake up in his own house.

Bakery. How to Find the Number 5

Upon waking up, you will see the baker and his house on the monitors. This is a hint of where to go next. You can check that the camera and screen are gone from your inventory.

Reach the bakery and enter through the back door.

Immediately open the door on the left and pick up the red valve.

Approach the main entrance and go up the stairs. Break the window on the second floor using a crowbar. At this moment, the owner of the establishment may come up.

Insert the valve into the heater and turn it. This way, you can cut the flower on the balcony and get the number 5.

How to Get the Number 7

Go up to the second floor again and cut the patch from the carpet. You will get a clock hand.

Insert the clock hand into the clock opposite and set the time to 10:35.

How to Find the Book Key and the Number 6

Lure the bakery owner out of the kitchen and inspect the freezer. Inside, there is a block of ice with a key inside.

Put it in the oven and take the fire extinguisher from the cabinet. Use the fire extinguisher on the oven and take the book key. The book itself is on the table on the second floor. Inside, you will find the number 7.

How to Get the Number 1

Lure the baker and steal the key from her. It is in her back pocket.

The key can open the fridge in the room on the first floor where you took the valve. Inside, take the cookie and place it in the cat's bowl.

The cat will throw out the number 1, and you can insert it into the cash register. The code for the cash register is indicated on the photo nearby — 1576.

Inside, there is a key to the neighbor's house. Run to his house and open the door.

Neighbor's House. How to Find Three Toy Houses and Get the Key to the Inverted Room

In the room on the right, you will see a city map with three houses missing. Take the red house from the safe and place it in the right corner.

When you open the door, you will notice that the neighbor only walks on the first floor. You can't lure him out, so wait until he sits in the chair and go behind the shelves on the left. There is a crawl space under the stairs where you can hide.

Go up to the second floor and wait for the neighbor to leave. Now go downstairs and inspect the showcase with the web. Cut it with scissors and take the second house model.

Place this model in the left part of the map.

Run away from the neighbor and return to the first floor. In the far showcase on the left, you will find the last house model. To get it, you will have to break the glass.

Place the last house and take the key to the inverted room from the safe. It is located opposite the table.

How to Find the Key to the Second Floor Door

Get rid of the cobwebs using scissors and pick up the lamp.

Place it to the left of the large painting and activate both lamps. A passage will open.

Right behind the door on the table lies the key. Use it on the lock of the second floor door (the lock is heart-shaped).

Enter the room, break the showcase, and interact with the photo of the neighbor and the boy. Watch the cutscene, after which the main character will find himself in his own house.

Hunter's House. How to Find All Map Pieces

Inspect the monitors again. They point to a house that was previously inaccessible. Run to the missing boy's cabin and follow the road with forbidden signs.

Cross the wooden bridge and climb into the house through the window. To the left, you will see a locked chest under the stairs. Use the crowbar to reach it. You don't have the key right now, but this will open an additional place where you can hide from the house owner. Also, inspect the bear statue and take the lever.

Go around the house on the right side and go up the stairs. This way, you will reach the second floor. While the hunter is distracted, you can inspect the room.

Go down to the first floor. In the old man's workroom, interact with a similar bear statue and take the first map fragment.

Go up to the second floor and cut the pillow on the old man's bed with scissors. Take the key and run to the basement. Use it on the locked box under the stairs. You will get the second fragment.

You will get the third and fourth fragments when you find all the boar heads and letters for the fridge.

How to Find All Boar Heads

The third fragment is in the microwave. To open it, you need to activate four boar heads within the allotted time. The activation sequence does not matter. The main thing is to do it as quickly as possible.

First Head

The first one is right next to the microwave.

Second Head

Run to the workroom on the first floor, climb onto the cabinet, and walk along the planks. Even higher, you will see the boar.

Third Head

Another boar is hidden on the second floor. Climb the beams and activate it.

Fourth Head

This head hangs on the wall in the basement, to the right of the stairs.

How to Find All Letters for the Fridge

How to Find the Letter F

There is nothing to do on the second floor right now. Go downstairs and inspect the toilet. On the inside of the lid, there is the letter F.

You need to find two more letters — B and C.

How to Find the Letter B

Go to the hunter's workroom and climb onto the cabinet where you can hide. Walk along the planks and inspect the empty frame. Here is the letter.

How to Find the Letter C

The last letter is on the roof of the building. To get here, climb the barrels and boxes, then inspect the paint can. The letter is here.

Insert all the letters into the inscription on the fridge and take the deer antler.

Go up to the second floor and place the antler to the right of the door. A drawer will open even further to the right — take the map fragment.

After finding all the pieces, you will get a complete map with a mark where you need to dig. By the way, the shovel is on the roof where you picked up the letter C.

How to Find and Open the Safe in the Yard

The mark on the map points to a pile of dirt in front of the house. Dig it up with the shovel. This way you will find the safe. The password is very simple — just match the colors of the pins on the map. So, we get the code — 80164.

Pick up the key to the second floor in the neighbor's house and head there.

Neighbor's House. How to Find All Gears and Open the Safe

Upon reaching the house, go up to the second floor and open the only locked door here.

Enter the room and pull the lamp by the wardrobe. The shelf will turn, and you will be able to pass between the rooms.

To the right, in the drawer, pick up the weight and place it on the already familiar platform in the next room. This way you will get the first gear.

The second gear is inside the globe. Slowly rotate the sphere until it opens. Nothing complicated.

Also, on the table, take the bird model. It needs to be placed on the hood of the car in the garage. Doing this will give you the third gear.

All gears need to be placed in the grandfather clock on the first floor. Yes, this is where the neighbor likes to walk. Be sure to sort them by color, otherwise, it won't work.

The clock will show the time — 11:35. Go up to the second floor and apply this code to the safe. Interact with the camera to start the cutscene.

Mayor's House. How to Distract the Dog and Get the Scepter

After the next cutscene, the protagonist will find himself back in his house. The screens now show the mayor of the city — head to his mansion.

Just like in the beta, the mayor's annoying dog is hanging out in the yard, but at the moment it is not dangerous. You can walk around the area freely, but it won't let you dig up the ground. You need to distract the animal.

To do this, go into the mayor's house and find the fire extinguisher. It hangs in a cabinet in the kitchen. When the man places a steak on the grill, extinguish the fire and take the meat. Let the dog enjoy the treat, and dig up the ground yourself.

You will get the scepter, which needs to be placed in the statue's hand. A plaque with the first trophy will open. Take it.

How to Find the Password

Run to the house and go into the bathroom. Pick up the boat. Place it under the painting with boats in the kitchen.

  • Password — 8691.

How to Find All Trophies and Get the Helm

First Trophy

You have already found the first trophy — you needed to distract the dog with grilled meat and place the scepter in the statue's hand.

Second Trophy

Another trophy is in the mayor's bedroom. Stand on the bed and start jumping like on a trampoline. Reach the wooden beams and take the item.

Third Trophy

Also on the second floor, break the frame with the record. It will be useful in the music room with the gramophone on the first floor. It is worth noting that the glass in this frame can only be broken with scissors.

To open it, press the colors on the piano in the following order:

  • Yellow;
  • Red;
  • Green;
  • Blue.

Wait for the mayor to move away, and activate the gramophone. A wooden platform will descend from the ceiling. Climb onto the chair, then onto the platform before it rises again. In the attic, you will find the triangular trophy.

Fourth Trophy

To get the next trophy, you will also have to go through the attic on the second floor. To do this, go up to the owner's bedroom and climb through the window. On the left, you will see two wooden platforms. Climb onto the far one and jump onto the higher platform from there.

Lift the camera up and open the door. Climb inside. If you happen to have lost your crowbar, there is a spare one here.

Move along the wooden beams to the hole in the wall. Use the crowbar here and take the fuse. The trophy in the mayor's office, which was guarded by lasers, will become accessible.

Fifth Trophy

Return to the owner's bedroom and jump on the couch to grab onto the wooden beams. Insert the fuse into the panel and go downstairs. Where the painting was, a safe will appear. Enter the code you might have found earlier — 8691.

Inside lies the last trophy. Arrange them in the same order as shown in the screenshot below. Take the helm.

How to Find the Key

Go to the mayor's bedroom and place the helm in its spot. Turn it until the red and blue stripes are next to each other. If you stop at the right place, the door will open, and you can take the key from the secret room.

Mr. Peterson's House. How to Find the Bear, Fish, and Boar Heads

Bear Head

Return to the neighbor's house and find the locked door on the second floor. It is located near the stuffed animals. Open the book on the table and take the wrench.

Go into the hall and find the nearby door. Use the wrench twice to open it. Take the book from the toilet.

Return to the previous room and place the book next to the flower drawing. To find the correct combination, you need to find the antenna on the second floor above the TV, install it on the roof, and tune it. After that, if you try to switch channels, you will see the correct sequence.

Return to the room where you picked up the wrench and pull out the following books:

  • Fire;
  • Flower;
  • Fish.

Pick up the bear head.

Boar Head

Run to the garage and pick up the handle in the cardboard box. Use it on the car and pull the lever to open the trunk. Inside lies the head.

Fish Head

Go to the upside-down room and examine the wall opposite the door. Here hangs the head of the stuffed animal.

How to Escape the Neighbor's House

Tips:

  • As soon as you escape the cage and get to the second floor of the house, Mr. Peterson will start chasing you. If he spots the hero, you need to hide quickly, as it's almost impossible to outrun him in this chapter — he runs very fast.
  • Traps are scattered around the house — if you get caught in one, you will need to direct the cursor to the trap and press the action key to escape. The sound of the trap will also attract the neighbor.
  • If Mr. Peterson catches the hero, he will take all his items. To escape, you need to retrieve the crowbar, which is on the counter. You can break the glass using the wrench that the neighbor carries with him.

Insert all three heads into their places to lower the attic ladder. Climb up, take the key, and open the grate. Watch the cutscene.

Examine the table and find the scissors. Use them to cut the web. You need to find the numbers in the room that correspond to the colors on the lock. Keep in mind that you see the back of the code lock through the grate — look at it through the side grate. You can set the combination shown in the screenshot below.

Take the lever from the doll and exit. Insert the lever into the wall on the right and activate it. Jump down and immediately hide under the table. When the neighbor comes to check, steal the wrench from him.

Be careful, as traps are scattered around the house. On the first floor, find the cabinet with the fire extinguisher and open it with the wrench. Take the fire extinguisher.

Return to the fireplace, unscrew the two bolts, and extinguish the fire. Take the door key.

In one of the showcases lies the crowbar. Break the glass with the scissors and pick it up.

Use it to remove the planks from the door and watch the final cutscene. End of the game.
