Deal with the Devil: Stalker 2 Quest Walkthrough

Skif's investigation continues in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornoby. Pripoy, Nestor, and now Varan are somehow connected, but crucial information is desperately lacking. Skif decides to personally go to Varan to sort everything out.

The information you received from the tablet points to the Factory. It's relatively close, so head there immediately. The Factory is a large complex of several buildings, but Varan is in the main one. There are many guards, so do not engage in conflict. Talk to the bandit and discuss all the issues. It turns out that his people were also attacked, and he captured one of them just like Nestor. The latter knows nothing, but the former might be useful. For a substantial fee, Varan is willing to let Skif talk to the prisoner. Naturally, we will not pay any money. In this case, the bandit agrees to change the terms. You need to kill one of the leaders of the rival groups who are bothering him — either the bandit Shah or the local lawman Roosevelt. Both are not very compliant. You only need to eliminate one, so it's up to you to decide who it will be. The quest will pause for a while and will only continue after completing King of the Hill.

When you complete Varan's task, give him the PDA of either of the two rivals, after which he will kindly give you the key to the basement where the prisoner is currently held. When you go down, you will find Nestor's corpse, as well as the prisoner. Take the PDA from him and leave. You will be met by Varan with all his henchmen. It was an ambush, so now you will have to fight the entire base. First, eliminate Varan himself, and then everyone else. When you leave the Factory's territory, Kondor will contact Skif, and the quest will be completed.
