Stalker 2 Guide: Kill Shah or Roosevelt

During the story quest King of the Hill in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, you will have to make an important decision. Although this choice won't significantly impact the main storyline, the reward for the chosen ending can greatly simplify the further progression of the game. In this guide, we will detail all possible options and help you decide whether to kill Shah or Roosevelt.

As you progress through the story, gamers will find that Varan has imprisoned a person who attacked the protagonist, and this prisoner can provide important information. The gang is hiding south of the Junkyard, on the factory grounds. Upon arriving at the location, you will face four possible ways to complete the quest:

To reach Shah with minimal losses and get his PDA, it is recommended to first complete a side task and contact the trader Huron. However, you can also use the second method:

To learn how to get to Roosevelt's base without attracting attention, complete a side task and talk to Borodulin. The approach to Roosevelt is similar to our path to Shah. We have two options: either directly enter the base, causing a commotion, or use a more sophisticated method.

To infiltrate the base, you need to get information, which Borodulin will provide. The stalker has his unique way of having fun: he will allow you to run and hide for 60 seconds while he shoots at you. After this time, he will give you information about Roosevelt. Additionally, you will get points on the map that will help you infiltrate the base through the building's pipes.

North of the Junkyard, you will find a shop, next to which is Roosevelt.

The most effective method to complete the task is not to contact any of the criminals but to focus on eliminating Varan. The result is the same. If you destroy Shah or Roosevelt, or both, Varan will provide the opportunity to enter the cell at the Factory, where Nestor's remains are stored. After this, he will attack you, and you will be forced to eliminate him and his thugs.

We recommend choosing what will bring you the most profit in terms of trophies and equipment. First, eliminate Shah, then head for Roosevelt and take all the loot from these bases. Upon returning, simply eliminate Varan and complete the quest.
