In S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, the Weird Nut is not only a legendary but also an extremely hard-to-reach artifact. To obtain it, you must overcome a dangerous anomaly that only the most experienced stalkers can pass through. In this guide, we will not only tell you how to reach this artifact but also reveal its unique properties.
The artifact can be found in the northeast of the Cooling Tower region, right in the center of the Fire Whirl anomaly. The anomaly is a gigantic fiery tornado, raging with immense force, leaving ashes behind.
Upon arriving at this location, you will find that the anomaly is surrounded by concrete walls on all sides, creating a closed space effect. Various metal objects such as pipes and ladders are scattered around the fiery whirlwind. The Fire Whirl affects metal objects with a specific timing, which we will explain in detail below. We will also tell you what you need to take with you into this anomaly to avoid death and prolong your stay in this dangerous place.
As mentioned, the Fire Whirl has a specific timing of impact, and those who find themselves in this location for the first time will find it challenging to predict where to move. The time the anomaly provides for searching the artifact is limited, so you must reach the target before the tornado inflicts destructive damage.
The whirlwind will heat metal objects, which you must traverse, with a timing of every 40 seconds. The impact lasts 20 seconds, after which the player will have almost a minute to reach the main location of the artifact before the cycle repeats.
To successfully find the artifact, we needed about 5 medkits. Using bandages is not recommended, as they are applied slowly, which can be deadly in the anomaly conditions. Now you need to climb the ladders and traverse a long path to find the Weird Nut. To do this as safely as possible, follow these recommendations:
Half the job is done, now you just have to get out of here alive. We died several times in this place before figuring out how to descend correctly. Under no circumstances should you just jump down, as the character will die. Also, do not return to the place you came from. Instead, after you take the artifact, immediately use a medkit, as you will lose almost all health. Then descend through the gaps in the ladder, continuing to use medkits as needed. Once you descend, run as far as possible.
The Weird Nut promotes rapid blood clotting when you equip it on your belt, providing temporary protection. In simple terms, the artifact will help avoid bleeding when taking damage, which will happen quite often during shootouts or encounters with mutants. However, full wound healing will take time, making it useful but not instantly healing.
