From One Thing to Another in Genshin Impact: How to Start and Complete the Flying Races
"From One Thing to Another" in Genshin Impact is a series of several separate quests dedicated to flying races in the Feather Clan. By sequentially completing four separate tasks, you can earn about 120 primogems and other valuable rewards. In this guide, we will explain how to start and complete each quest in the series.
How to Start the "From One Thing to Another" Quest in Genshin Impact
To start the quest series, you need to reach at least Adventure Rank 28 and complete the fifth chapter of the fifth volume of the Archon Quests "The Flame is Unified." If these conditions are met, teleport south of the Tribe of the Night Wind Lords using one of the nearby waypoints and run to the platform where they train for the flying race. Due to the high presence of gaseous phlogiston, it is better to transform into a kukuzavr or take Chaska along the way. Fly through the phlogiston ring with a pyroculus, and the quest will automatically start.
Completing the "From One Thing to Another" Quest
After you fly through the ring on the zavrian, a young man from the Feather Clan named Temach will speak to you. He will tell you about the flying track and promise good prizes for successfully completing it. In addition, the quest "Incidents Always Happen Suddenly" will immediately begin.
Incidents Always Happen Suddenly
To complete the quest, complete three time-based challenges by overcoming the flying track, which Temach has kindly allowed you to use. Using kukuzavrs, showcase your flying skills and claim the prize. We will further detail how to complete all stages of the quest and how to finish the challenges.
Head to the Training Track
Thanks to a tip from the coach named Temach, start the challenge and head to the flying track. To do this, go to the point indicated on the map — the phlogiston wind tunnel at the foot of the cliff. Using the soul beacon at the mechanism, inhabit a kukuzavr and enter the opening. It will take you to the top of the mountain at the track's start. Opposite, you will see a girl waving a flag. Talk to her and to the question "Want to try the training track?" answer "Let me give it a try." After that, be ready to take on the time challenge.
Try the Training Track
To start, simply fly through the first ten rings — they will be highlighted with a blue quest marker. Don't be afraid to use acceleration (RMB) to complete the challenge on time. When you pass through the air ring, the second stage of the challenge will begin. Break the phlogiston rings with the kukuzavr dash right in the air. After that, you can proceed to the third stage — landing. To do this, either dive down by holding LMB or the Ctrl key.
Find Lamizana and Receive the Reward
After successfully completing the flight, head to the young man named Lamizana. To do this, go to the point on the map: Lamizana will be standing on one of the wooden platforms in the camp near the house. There you will catch him talking to a boy named Taruka. After the coach leaves, you will be able to take the rich chest and also receive a task from Taruka to start a new quest.

Make it in 24 Hours
The boy Taruka suspects that his sister's suitor is up to something and wants to disrupt the flying races. He also talks about clues: a strange camp and a person who is planning something wrong. Taruka tasks the Traveler with sneaking into the camp and scouting the situation, but on the way, they meet the boy's sister. In this guide, we will explain how to sneak into the camp unnoticed and hide from the eyes of the Iktomizavrs.
Explore the Area Near the Place Mentioned by Taruka
Teleport to the Statue of the Archon on the Quauacan Cliff and go to the location indicated on the map. Rest by the fire, sitting on one of the boxes. After that, the time will automatically move to 20:00-22:00, and the previously empty camp opposite will be filled with Iktomizavrs. To get there, you will have to take on the guise of one of the Cryo Zavrians.
Inhabit an Iktomizavr and Infiltrate the Inner Part of the Camp
To complete the entire route and avoid being seen by the guards, you need to inhabit an Iktomizavr. The further routes may vary. The main thing is to watch out for the red beams from the guards: if you get caught in their line of sight, you'll have to start over. Also, keep an eye on the eye indicator — if you are noticed, you have some time to hide before the gauge fills up. To reach the desired location quickly and efficiently, follow these steps:
1. Cross the bridge and you will see an Iktomizavr by the shore, which you can possess.
2. Keeping to the right, cross the river and head to the foot of the mountain near the tall blue trees.
3. Turn left and go to the rectangular ledge. Use the Zavrian jump to fly past the human guards.
4. While in this blind spot, you can plan your next move. Wait until the road is clear and glide to the Zavrian sitting on the fence. Immediately possess it.
5. Without jumping off the fence, activate the triangular pattern on the wall guarded by two Iktomizavr cubs. It will allow you to pass further. Fly right over the heads of the Zavrians so you won't be noticed. Use the enhanced jump. Once you have infiltrated, a dialogue will automatically begin.
Eavesdrop on the Secret Conversation Unnoticed
Upon entering the secret camp, listen to what the people who organized it are plotting. The dialogue won't make much sense, except that something will happen at the flying races. The observation will be interrupted by a girl named Quilla. In the conversation with her, you can choose any option — it won't affect anything. Afterward, the Traveler, Paimon, and the companion Tepetlizard will be able to slip out of the camp and tell Taruka everything.
Return to Taruka and Report the Results
After the observation, return to the flight platform and tell Taruka everything you learned from the observation and what you saw there, after which you will receive an invitation to participate in the races and the opportunity to sort out the situation.

- Hero's Wit (2);

Flying Races and Alibi
To start this quest, you need to go to the Sacred Flame Stadium and head to the point marked on the map. There, a dialogue with Paimon will automatically start, and you will receive an official invitation to the flying races. The quest will then be added to your quest log.
Head to the Starting Point of the Flying Races
After receiving the invitation, head to the Feather Clan and go to the indicated point closer to the south of the tribe. Talk to a girl named Liva. Choose the option "Let's start" to begin the time trial.
Complete All Flying Race Challenges
To complete the flying race, you will need to finish several challenges where you must fly through or break phlogiston rings.
First, use the Kukuzavr dash to break the first three targets, which can be done while in accelerated flight. Then land on the balloon, and the second stage of the race will appear.
Fly through all the phlogiston rings as quickly as possible, then land on the balloon again.
In the final stage, dive to the ground, flying through all the rings while holding the left mouse button. After the race, you will be congratulated on completion, but you do not find Taruka, who should be in the stands, and the Traveler decides to search for him.
Find Taruka
If you follow the path from the same place, you will come across Lamizana fighting Iktomizavrs. Help him and defeat the enraged Zavrians. It becomes clear from him that Taruka has been kidnapped, and everyone gathered suspects the Traveler. Escaping from the pursuers, you decide to find Taruka.
Return to the Scene
Follow the path to the place where the Zavrians attacked Lamizana and use the companion Tepetlizard to investigate it for clues. The quest will end here.
Rewards
- Primogems (30);
- Adventure Experience (200);
- Mora (35,000).
Farewell, Last Zavrian Cookie
In the final quest of the "From One Thing to Another" series, the Traveler and Paimon need to find the boy Taruka, clear themselves of suspicion of his kidnapping, and sort out the strange story revolving around the flying races.
Possess the Iktomizavr and Track the Strange Smell
To find clues, the Traveler needs to possess the Zavrian and use its powers. The soul beacon can be found in the same place. Once possessed, use elemental sight to track the strange smell. Follow the path, and upon seeing a wooden ladder, jump to climb higher.
Disguise Yourself and Follow the Iktomizavr Patrol to Infiltrate the Camp
To save Taruka, blend in again among the Iktomizavr patrols. Follow these steps to remain unnoticed:
1. Use the jump to fly into the bushes by the slope of the cliff, then glide to the stone recess opposite. This is a patrol blind spot, so you can calmly plan your next actions.
2. Staying close to the cliff, move forward. Wait until the three Iktomizavrs approach the closed gates and fly over them. Alternatively, you can join them at the end of the line.
Upon entering the cave, you will meet Taruka's Kukuzavr — Oberon. After that, exit the cave and fight the opponents. To do this, play with Quilla and defeat her Zavrian, Mehovichok. Depending on your choice, you can influence the course of events, but ultimately the Traveler's team will defeat the opponent.
Return to the Flight School
After the battle, return to the school where the flying races are held, as Taruka has not yet been found. Talk to the returned boy and his loved ones, after which the quest will end.
