Top Lancer Heroes in FragPunk: Ultimate Tier List and Abilities

FragPunk is an exciting free shooter with unique mechanics from Bad Guitar Studio. Players, divided into teams of five, battle each other while completing two key tasks: plant or defuse the converter (attack/defense) and eliminate opponents. Before the match, you can choose the hero you will fight as. In this guide, we'll talk about each and help you choose the best characters to start with.
Lancers and Their Role in FragPunk
The central characters of the game are lancers — unique heroes with diverse abilities that suit different play styles. Getting used to the fragment-card system can be challenging, but mastering the abilities of lancers happens much faster.
Before the start of a round, players choose a lancer and their equipment. If desired, you can change the character in the following rounds, but after the battle starts, the choice becomes final. Typically, one lancer is available to only one player, but the fragment-card "Cloning Technology" allows you to bypass this rule.
How to Unlock Lancers
At the beginning of the game, only 5 characters are available, but there are 13 lancers in total. New heroes can be unlocked for in-game gold (18,888 units for one lancer) or for premium currency — FragPunk coins (488 coins). Ways to earn FragPunk coins:
- Purchase with real money;
- Progress in the Battle Pass;
- Subscription rewards;
- Participation in rare events.

Best Lancers in the Team: Tier List
In FragPunk, every character is cool in their own way, but if we talk about the most useful ones, they are those who control space, heal the team, and assist with scouting.
Pathogenia: an indispensable team pillar. Her ability to heal allies while simultaneously throwing poisonous traps in the area makes her a must-have for any team. She not only saves teammates from death but also significantly slows down enemy pushes, allowing your team to control the map. Without Pathogenia, it's hard to survive in prolonged battles, especially if enemies are pressing from different sides.
Sonar: this lady is the eyes and ears of the team. Her ability to scan the area with sound waves and detect enemy locations provides a huge tactical advantage. It allows your team to always know where the attack will come from and where enemies are hiding in ambush. Plus, her sound wave can stun and knock enemies into the air, which is perfect for interrupting ultimates or defending against pushes.
Nitro: the perfect choice for those who love to play defensively. Nitro can build barriers, set up turrets, and control key points on the map. Her drone assists with scouting, and the sturdy walls literally block enemy paths. If you want to hold positions or protect the bomb, Nitro is your best friend.
Cham: despite his chaotic style, Cham is incredibly useful for disorienting the enemy. His robot chomper can distract enemies, deal damage, or create a smoke screen. This allows breaking enemy positions and forcing opponents to constantly keep another threat in mind. Cham is perfect for those who love to play unconventionally and create chaos on the battlefield.
Jaguar: his specialty is tracking weak and wounded enemies. He can slow down opponents with traps and easily finish off those trying to escape. Jaguar is useful when you need to quickly reduce enemy numbers and eliminate key targets, such as enemy healers or snipers.
Spider: very useful as he can teleport allies and enemies. To handle him effectively, knowledge of locations and skill is required, but ultimately, you can be incredibly fast and deadly.
The most useful characters are those who either heal or control the map and provide information for the team. They set the pace of the battle and allow your allies to maintain the initiative.
