It Has Been Revealed Who Will Direct the New Street Fighter Movie

The Hollywood Reporter reveals that the director of the new adaptation of the Street Fighter fighting game series will be Kitao Sakurai, known for the 2021 comedy film Bad Trip.
The production is a joint effort between Legendary Entertainment and Capcom, which is reportedly "deeply involved" in the process.
The premiere date is set for March 20, 2026, although casting information is not yet available.
As a reminder, in 1994, a Street Fighter adaptation was released starring Jean-Claude Van Damme. The film grossed $99.4 million on a $35 million budget, with an IMDb rating of 4.1.
