Microsoft has made another big announcement — this time not about closing studios. Xbox President Sarah Bond announced that the company will launch its own mobile game store in July.
At launch, the store will feature Candy Crush, Minecraft, and other titles from Microsoft studios. Initially, it will only be available as a web version: according to Bond, this will make the store more accessible and bypass Google Play and App Store restrictions.
The Xbox Store is also expected to feature cross-platform games, allowing mobile gamers to play with PC and console owners.
