Players of Marvel Rivals were prohibited from criticizing the shooter

Participants of the closed testing for Marvel Rivals reported that they had to sign a contract forbidding them from criticizing the game. Streamer Brandon «A_Seagull» Larned noted the strange clause in the agreement.

The contract states that content creators must «agree not to make any public statements or engage in discussions that are detrimental to the reputation of the game.“ Gamers are prohibited from joking or badmouthing gameplay mechanics and music, as well as ”maliciously» comparing the game to competitors.

Many players were rightly outraged, believing that the developers were trying to hide the true state of Marvel Rivals. A few hours later, the Netease company reached out and apologized to the audience, promising to review the rules.
