The creators of NieR might be working on a new installment

A new NieR installment might be in development. The series producer Yosuke Saito mentioned in an interview with Weekly Famitsu that he is working on a new project with game designer Yoko Taro and composer Keiichi Okabe, who are also involved in the NieR franchise.

According to Saito, he has long wanted to work with his former colleagues. However, he is not ready to reveal all the details yet: «I'll have something a bit more put-together to say in the not-too-distant future, so please stay tuned. It might be NieR, it might not be NieR. That's about all I can say for now.»

NieR includes several games, including NieR Automata about the android girl 2B. In 2023, the anime series Nier: Automata Ver1.1a was released, receiving high praise from critics.
