CD Projekt RED artist criticized Assassin's Creed: Shadows for «historical inaccuracy,» but later apologized

The gaming community continues to discuss the black samurai Yasuke, one of the main characters in Assassin's Creed: Shadows. Recently, Michal Kalisz, a senior weapon artist at CD Projekt RED, posted a short tweet criticizing the choice of character. This was noticed by user Grummz.

However, just a couple of days later, Kalisz drastically changed his opinion and apologized to those offended by his words. Following this, he closed his account.

Apparently, the Japanese themselves do not mind the appearance of the black Yasuke. For example, the PS5 version of the game has already taken first place in pre-orders in the Japanese region of Amazon.

Assassin's Creed: Shadows is scheduled for release on November 15.
