Insider: DOOM: The Dark Ages to be announced at Xbox Games Showcase
Insider and journalist Tom Henderson, who has a proven track record of accurate information, has shared details about a new DOOM game codenamed Year Zero.
According to the rumor, the game is titled DOOM: The Dark Ages. Henderson claims that the project is medieval-themed and could potentially be a prequel to the 2016 reboot, following the Doom Slayer in the Dark Ages. The new installment has reportedly been in development for about four years. It is expected to be announced at the Xbox Games Showcase 2024 on June 9.
Henderson did not provide any information on when or what platforms the game will be released on.
It's worth noting that a rumor about Forza Horizon 6 being announced at the Xbox Games Showcase also surfaced recently. Additionally, Mafia 4 is rumored to be showcased at Summer Game Fest.
