New Screenshots of the Shooter Metro Awakening Released
Fresh screenshots of Metro Awakening — the upcoming VR game that will be a prequel to Metro 2033 — have appeared on the official PlayStation blog. They showcase one of the stations and a few frames before an impending battle.
At the same time, developers from Vertigo Games shared gameplay details. In terms of gameplay, Awakening will not differ significantly from previous parts, but virtual reality will add new depth to many familiar mechanics. You'll have to wipe the gas mask's glass, pull out the map, and count the bullets in the magazine with your own hands.
Let us remind you that 4A Games is also working on a new full-fledged part of Metro. Insider Tom Henderson mentioned that the game will start with a prologue where Artyom has a dream.
Metro Awakening will be released in 2024 on PC and PS5. Most likely, the exact date will be announced in September when pre-orders open.
