The first teaser of the Minecraft movie showed a cubic world and Steve

Legendary Pictures has released the first teaser for the upcoming Minecraft movie. The adaptation of the famous sandbox game will be released on April 4.

The film will tell the story of a group of misfits who get sucked into the «cubic wonderland.» To return home, they need to get accustomed to the new place (with the help of experienced crafter Steve) and fight through hordes of evil creatures, including piglins and zombies.

The film is directed by Jared Hess, the author of the short film Ninety-Five Senses. The main roles are played by Jason Momoa, Jack Black, Sebastian Eugene Hansen, Emma Myers, and Danielle Brooks.
