Shogun won a record number of Emmy statuettes

Shogun set an absolute Emmy record by winning 14 statuettes for technical achievements. The historical drama celebrated its triumph last night at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony. It received the following awards:
- Best Sound Mixing;
- Best Sound Editing;
- Best Picture Editing;
- Best Cinematography;
- Best Period Costumes;
- Best Main Title Design;
- Best Production Design;
- Best Prosthetic Makeup;
- Best Stunt Performance;
- Best Casting for a Drama;
- Best Special Visual Effects;
- Best Period/Fantasy Makeup;
- Best Period/Fantasy Hairstyling;
- Best Guest Actor in a Drama (Nestor Carbonell).
At the 2024 Creative Arts Emmy, the dramatic comedy The Bear, the Fallout adaptation (Best Music Direction), and Blue-Eyed Samurai (Best Animated Series) were also recognized.
The main part of the Emmys with the major nominations will take place on September 15. There, Shogun may earn another 5 statuettes.
