Creators of The Day Before Launch Dubious Contest Asking Gamers to Design a Map for Free
Fntastic, the studio behind The Day Before, which it discontinued just days after launch, is now working on a new project called Items. Once again, the studio is looking for players to help create some of the content—this time, entirely for free.
Social media users noticed an announcement about a new contest on Fntastic's official Discord. Participants are invited to «unleash creativity» by designing an entire map. The best design will be featured in the game, and the creator will receive a free copy of Items.
While some members of the Discord community have criticized the developers, others have already submitted initial entries.
No release date for Items has been announced. Alongside the new game, Fntastic plans to launch several mobile titles as a source of financial support.
