Orcs in Gothic 1 Remake Will Become More Humane
Developing remakes is not an easy task, since you need to find the perfect balance between the original and new ideas. Alkimia Interactive, the studio working on Gothic 1 Remake, decided to play a little with the image of orcs.
In a recent interview with GRYOnline, the head of the studio, Reinhard Pollice, said that the remake is being developed for both old and new audiences. To please everyone, the creators did not interfere with the main plot, but corrected some secondary quests and deepened the knowledge of the factions.
In particular, the orcs in the remake will be more developed. Even in the original, the magician Xardas stated that the green-skinned thugs are not actually animals, and their culture is close to human. And in the third part, the orcs were a highly developed civilization. Therefore, in Gothic 1 Remake, players will be able to learn more about this race through additional quests.
The release of Gothic 1 Remake is scheduled for spring 2025 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X / S.
Earlier, the developers from Alkimia Interactive showed a new screenshot from the remake. This time they captured the rice fields of the New Camp.
