Christopher Nolan's New Star-Studded Film to Be an Adaptation of The Odyssey
Universal Pictures has revealed details about director Christopher Nolan's upcoming film. It's an adaptation of the epic poem The Odyssey by ancient Greek poet Homer. The premiere is scheduled for July 17, 2026.
The poem's story follows the King of Ithaca on a long journey where he encounters many mythical creatures and gods. The hero's main goal is to return home to his family, but he must face a series of challenging trials to do so. The main events take place after the fall of Troy.
According to media reports, the film will feature a host of famous actors, including Charlize Theron, Tom Holland, Matt Damon, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong'o, and Robert Pattinson.
As a reminder, Christopher Nolan's previous film Oppenheimer grossed $976.8 million on a $100 million budget and received an 8.3 rating on IMDb.
