Screenshots from the 2020 build on Unreal Engine 4 were found in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 files

One of the Reddit users shared screenshots found in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl files in the community. The images show what the game and interface elements looked like in 2020 on a different version of the engine.

A Redditor with the nickname BillyWillyNillyTimmy suggested that the screenshots he found most likely relate to the version on Unreal Engine 4, and the developers simply forgot to delete them. In addition, the 2020 build included binoculars and a night vision device, which were removed at release. Judging by the images, they were made on the Xbox version.

Earlier, one of the artists of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 shared his version of the witcher medallion from The Witcher 3. And recently the shooter got into the top of the best new releases of 2024 according to Steam.
