2024's Most Awarded Game of the Year Revealed
The GOTY Award Tracker website has named the project that has received the most Game of the Year awards in 2024. That title goes to the 3D platformer Astro Bot, released exclusively for PS5.
In second place is the JRPG Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, which, it's worth mentioning, will soon be released on PC. The third position is held by the card roguelike Balatro, and fourth place belongs to Metaphor: ReFantazio. The action RPG Black Myth: Wukong, created by developers from China, is in fifth place.
Top 10 games of 2024 with the most Game of the Year awards:
- Astro Bot — 104 awards;
- Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth — 37 awards;
- Balatro — 28 awards;
- Metaphor: ReFantazio — 25 awards;
- Black Myth: Wukong — 21 awards;
- Indiana Jones and the Great Circle — 12 awards;
- Silent Hill 2 Remake — 11 awards;
- Helldivers 2 — 8 awards;
- Animal Well — 4 awards;
- Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth — 4 awards.
Astro Bot is also the recipient of Game of the Year award at TGA 2024. It also won in the categories Best Game Direction, Best Action/Adventure Game and Best Family Game.
Earlier, Metacritic named the best PC game of 2024.
