Nitro Concepts introduces E-Racer simulator with wind effects for immersive gameplay
At CES 2025, Nitro Concepts revealed its revamped E-Racer simulator, designed to take racing games to the next level with added realism. One of the standout features is the integration of fans positioned on either side of the racing wheel, generating directional airflow that mimics the sensation of driving in an open-cockpit car.
According to journalists who tested the simulator, the wind effect proved far more convincing than initially expected. The fans adjust their intensity based on the in-game vehicle’s speed, creating a realistic feeling of high-speed motion. This enhancement, alongside visual effects like motion blur and camera shake, offers a more immersive racing experience.
Beyond the immersive factor, the wind effects may also help reduce nausea in virtual reality by aligning the body’s perception of movement with the virtual environment. The airflow tricks the brain into feeling the physical sensation of speed, reducing motion sickness.
While the E-Racer simulator is not yet available for purchase, Nitro Concepts has already made other accessories, such as LED controllers and haptic cushions, available on its website. Pricing details for the E-Racer remain under wraps for now, but fans are eagerly awaiting its release.
