GTA: Vice City Fan Remaster Creators Announce End of Support

The Revolution Team, the team that released the GTA Vice City Nextgen Edition mod, announced the end of support for the project. Let us recall that the modification transfers content from Grand Theft Auto: Vice City to the GTA 4 engine.

The creators of the project announced their decision to stop working on further updates on social networks. Let us recall that even before the release of the mod, the publisher Take-Two Interactive achieved the removal of the developers' YouTube channel, and after the release, blocked the trailer for the «remaster». A few days after the release of Nextgen Edition, the developers faced the removal of the Telegram channel due to copyright and received a complaint about the official group on social networks.

This week will remain in our memory forever. We really made a lot of noise. We don't know if our case will affect the policy regarding modding, but our story with mods is coming to an end. There is no point in making projects if you can't talk about them openly and distribute them, especially when you know that in a few days everything can just disappear. We hope for your understanding. Thank you for everything.

The promised patch with fixes will be released by another team, which has «absolutely nothing to do» with Revolution Team.

As for GTA Vice City Nextgen Edition, we have already managed to play the new product from the fan developers. Is it a worthy «remaster»? We told you in the review article.
