Capcom Announces Resident Evil Re:Verse Server Shutdown

Capcom has notified players about the closure of Resident Evil Re:Verse, an online shooter with PvP battles for the iconic characters of the series. Let us remind you that the project was released in 2022 on PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4 and PS5.

The game received mostly negative reviews upon release. Judging by them, the main problem was poorly functioning servers, as well as meager and unbalanced game mechanics. At the moment, the project has only 34% positive reviews on Steam. According to the database, the peak online is just over 2,000 players.

The other day, Capcom finally decided to close the failed game. On March 3, Resident Evil Re:Verse and its add-ons will be removed from all trading platforms, and support will end on June 29.

Resident Evil Re:Verse was developed in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Resident Evil series, and your overwhelming support for the game has far exceeded our expectations since the time of its release. Now that we've reached a new turning point for the series, we feel that Resident Evil Re:Verse has served its original, celebratory purpose admirably.
