Jason Isaacs, known for his role as Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, commented on his possible involvement in the upcoming HBO series. During a recent press event, the actor was asked if he would like to play another wizard.
A journalist from Deadline suggested the role of Salazar Slytherin, but Isaacs had a better idea. "I’m hoping to come back as Hermione," he joked.

In another interview, Isaacs stated that he already knows some of the actors set to appear in the series.
They're incredible actors. And it's being done by the same people who did the films and Mark Mylod's running it, who is a brilliant showrunner. I worked with him years ago on Entourage, but he ran, he did lots of Game of Thrones. We did Succession as well. It's a phenomenally talented man, and they don't need any advice from me.
The premiere of the first season of Harry Potter is scheduled for 2026. Earlier, film insider Daniel Richtman revealed which role Cillian Murphy might take on in the series.
