Rumor: New Far Cry 7 Plot Details Have Appeared on Reddit

A post with supposed details of the Far Cry 7 story campaign has been published on Reddit. Since the insider cannot provide specific facts or a link to a source, the information below is best taken as a rumor.
According to Redditor KekanKok, he got the details from casting announcements for actors that were removed by Reddit due to copyright infringement. However, he has compiled a brief summary of the character descriptions.
According to his information, the plot of Far Cry 7 revolves around the wealthy Bennet family, represented by Layla, Dax, Bree, Christian, Henry, and Krista. The entire clan is involved in a power struggle in the spirit of the Succession series. The villain will be a certain Ian Duncan, a conspiracy theorist with an army of followers who will challenge the wealthy elite for power, which is very similar to Far Cry 5. There will also be two more secondary characters — John MacKay and doctor Safna Kazan.
In addition, the insider is sure that the action of Far Cry 7 will be New England, which was allegedly mentioned in the announcements. The region is located in the United States and unites six states, including Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
Earlier, authoritative insider and journalist Tom Henderson reported that Far Cry 7 will most likely be split into two games. The release of both is expected in 2026.
